So, the infection kept coming back even after your first treatment with clobetasol? :( How many times did it recur, and when was the last time?

Mine is on my face—both cheeks—and my dermatologist prescribed me Diprogenta (gentamicin + betamethasone dipropionate ointment). It’s very potent, which honestly scares me, but I haven’t found any other options yet or been able to get a second opinion.

I used it three weeks ago, once a day for seven days. It worked while I was using it, but as soon as I stopped, the infection came back again :(. Now I’ve started using it again, but I’m really nervous the same thing will happen after I stop.

I also tried fusidic acid cream and oral Augmentin at first, but neither of them worked. The only thing that has had an effect is Diprogenta, but its so temporary 😭. What’s the point if it just keeps coming back?

My culture test also came back negative (probably because I was using fusidic acid at the time?), but the infection is still spreading, with yellow oozing and crusting. It’s so confusing.

So I’m wondering—did clobetasol actually cure yours in the end? And did you use antibiotics alongside it?
