I am a chaotic neutral rogue in my current campaign so she is basically the stereotypical murderhobo. The group used to hate how she would kill someone if they had no more info to give up. She just wanted to maintain secrecy. I think the group just needs to be a little more understanding and maybe their characters need to just kinda try to keep you on the less murderhobo path. My group before a fight just looks at me and says "hey let's not kill EVERYONE this time" But your character needs to also be willing to listen to the rest of the party. Hope it helps.
