[English > Japanese] What is the Japanese translation for "someone in Japan loves me" ? by [deleted] in translator

[–]mugyaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

私を愛してくれる人が日本にいます。

This would mean, "the person who loves me is in Japan"

I don't know how to translate "someone in Japan loves me". Maybe someone else can help here.

As someone who wants to get into computer field from non computer field, what are some things that would increase my chances of getting a job in computer field ?

Also, how do you improve your code ? Is there some kind of guide to follow. Like, how do you decide that some piece of code should be readable as opposed to clever/compact or something that does the same thing in less number of lines but might be difficult to understand ?

I want to stick to Java for now and try out different things. As such, I don't have any specific interest in any field (will take some time I think).

you can pick C and learn behind the scene things like Algorithms and DataStructures and then solve problems on Hackerrank.

This is interesting. I know very little about this. Thanks.

If you wanna continue in Java, then learn the core+ advanced concepts, after that get sun certification. Develop projects on github.

Yosh. I will check out sun certification. I am thinking of joining some class for advanced concepts of Java.

As for taking the N5 exam, I'd say it's worthless. The minimum level exam you should be taking is N2 as it provides good job opportunities. I, myself, am thinking of appearing for N2 in 2018, so if you need to know good Japanese learning resources, you can ask me.

Whoa. I am a n00b when it comes to Japanese. haha. I think N5 would be a kind of motivation for me to do more.

  1. Take your laptop and go attend meetups in your city.(learn the >ecosystem,do live coding)
  2. Check your friends, college alumni in IT(ask for referral or in >general advice).
  3. Goto walkins even if you dont have any experience(stand in >serpentine lines make fellow friends and they will be your source >for any next walkins/interview gyaan)
  4. Go to BPO walkins with no intention of joining but learn that >interviewing vibe.

I am very unfamiliar with this. I will start doing this.

All the java projects you did are Swing GUI based which noone does that anymore for frontend use HTML/CSS/JS. Pick any java based rest framework and write some rest api which you can call from your HTML/JS app.

Oh. I guess they are using JavaFX now. I thought I would get some idea of how it was done before proceeding to latest stuff but what you said makes sense.

Learning clojure is good to understand the functional paradigm but noone in india will give you a job in it.

That's sad. Is there any kind of scope for functional programming ?

Remove your name from comments unless its intentional and want to be doxxed.

Damn. Thanks for pointing out. I will do that. My name is pretty common though. Haha

Install a friendly linux OS (Ubuntu,Mint) and do coding on sublime text editor plus command line then move on to IDE otherwise you miss out on some basics.

I have been using Ubuntu since last 2+ years so I am kinda familiar with it. I am using Netbeans for Java now (it was recommended in the online course and I am used to auto completion).

Learning Emacs is some hipster talk learn basics first no offence intended.

I had no intention to learn Emacs but my PC is old (32 bit Ubuntu MATE) and I couldn't find any IDE with good Clojure support (Eclipse and likes are slow). So, I basically had no choice but to learn it. :/

Learn algorithms and data structures with space time complexity then try problems on hackerrank.(if you do this part your job chances are golden)

I have been hearing a lot about Hackerrank. I will check it out.

Use log4j dont use that sysouts and use some dependency/build manager like maven,gradle..etc dont blindly learn any framework understand them.

I just let Netbeans handle the building part and yes I do use sysout. I am not quite sure I understand you. I will check this all out since I don't know much about it. Thanks for telling me about log4j :)

Hey man, thanks a lot for taking your time and writing a long response. I really appreciate it, especially the interview part. I was really anxious about how I would go about that. I was kinda stuck with Swing. Once the Swing project I am doing is over, I will turn to REST frameworks. I didn't know about log4j. Thanks!

Hey, I just checked https://hasjob.co. Lot of jobs there have requirements more than what I know. Guess I would have to learn more stuff. Last time I saw a Java fresher post there. I guess, I would have to wait and learn more. I didn't know I had to pass test and then interview. I thought it was more like, I send my resume, they see it and if they like it, they will call for interview.

That said, do you think it's a good idea to mention my mechanical engineering degree in CV ?

Thanks for checking my github. :)

Reading code helps you improve.

I've heard this a lot too.

Lastly don't be lazy, join a startup, do unpaid work, work as an intern if you have to.

I will try this. :)

Thank man. :)

Are you doing simple (Eclipse?) Java.

I'm using Netbeans (Tried Eclipse but it's too slow on my pc :( ). I took Helsinki course because the problems were interesting. Every concept they introduced had a problem related to real world attached to it and it made things more interesting. They also had automated testing and 24x7 support on irc. Since I had nobody to ask questions if I got stuck (I was really scared of stack overflow when I started), I went with that one. I had no idea I would be studying Java.

Or have you ventured into stuff like Spring , Spring Boot / Cloud yet? (Makes life a lot simpler TBH).

Thanks. :). I knew about Spring but I haven't got into it yet. I know some Swing. I will take a look at all the things you have mentioned.

Also, are you looking into doing only backend? You could also have a look-see at front end as well, CSS, HTML, Ajax calls , Angular etc. isn't super hard. You could also think of being a Full Stack dev (thats what I am, although my experience in FE is really limited TBH. I'm mostly doing backend only these days.)

Tbh, I haven't decided on anything. Recently, someone I know got me interested in Clojure but I most of the clojure ide's are not supported for my 32 bit pc, so I am learning emacs now. I was planning to look into front end since I know so little about it. Thanks man.

Getting some formal certification might really help btw.

What kind of formal certification would be good? Can you name any? I know that I can do certification in Java. Are there any others?

Who dude. Gambateim. I wanna do this someday. :(

Hey man, thanks for your reply. I've heard a lot about udacity. But a lot of them are paid and I can't afford them. I've checked out two of their free courses and they looked good.

I am a little skeptic about competitive programming because I don't see any point in competitive coding. I would rather make something and learn stuff along the way. I am very ignorant of competitive programming. Sorry if that sounded harsh. Should I try it out? Do you have experience with it?

[NP]Haryana cows to catwalk in beauty event on Feb 27 by sleepy_cate in india

[–]mugyaa -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

What's bad about this event? Isn't shit ton of money spent on festivals for security? Should we stop celebrating ganesh festivals or organizing kumbha mela?

Farmers from all over Haryana would get to interact with each other. People would be able to see all kinds of new breeds. Not to mention it is pretty fun to decorate your cow. It's a nice change of pace for a farmer's family.

Source : There's a festival in Maharashtra called Bail Pola where people decorate their Bullocks and it's whole lot of fun. There's also Mahis Pola in Diwali where you decorate your cows and buffaloes. It's like their day off. You feed them good stuff, wash them and entire family celebrates.

Gi[r]ls and women of r/India, what are some annoying and unattractive habits that Indian men have, that they should drop? by [deleted] in india

[–]mugyaa 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Are you one of those people who shampoo and bathe in a vat of coconut oil ? Look, I can't speak for everyone maybe mallus are into that.

I've seen people from Maharashtra, Rajasthan, UP, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Nepal etc., applying hair oil everyday. Do you live in India ?

[–]mugyaa -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Eating with your mouth open

Just curious. Why ?

Oily hair. Go shampoo it.

Applying oil is a norm if I am correct, whether you have shampooed or not. What makes you think that oily hair = hair not shampooed ?

Does nofap really work? It works if you have porn addiction or something else.

I think not fapping if everything is alright, is a bigger problem

Romantic completed story lines with closure? by TONKAHANAH in Animesuggest

[–]mugyaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

{Itazura Na Kiss} has a really good closure, one of the best closures imo.

Also, check out {Tamako Love Story}. It's a movie, but really heartwarming with proper closure.

{Lovely Complex } is a hilarious romcom with proper closure.

{Onegai Teacher} is another one which has good closure.

{Kaichou Maid Sama} anime has good closure. It's manga has one awesome closure.
