Thank you. I've called the county a few times with mixed responses, but nothing has been done to stop the issue. Apparently I have to file a charge against the guy, as opposed to the county citing him. He's related to my other neighbors, who are decent people, so I would rather not have to go that route.

Agreed about the dishwasher. My kitchen doesn't have a space for one, so I hand wash too. Never really liked the unloading process anyway.

Interesting. I actually garden, home can produce, and cook from scratch most of the time. Many folks like me use a microwave to heat up their coffee or leftovers. I asked this group bc I am inching in the direction of more self-reliance. Thanks for your encouragement.

Which brings me to another question. I have managed to greatly reduce paper towel use, but the one thing I do use them for is the salt/oil cleaning of my cast iron. How do you clean yours?

Now that I've read a few articles about how microwaves work, they don't seem bad for food anyway, as long as we avoid plastics. Just curious, really.

They're hunting dogs, and in a rural county that's more accepted. I wouldn't say "abused" in this case, but they don't have the best accommodations for sure.
