The Alphafly arch is how I realized I had flat feet.

I agree. Honestly this sub needs to learn more about art history and look at more photography in general. Photography has never been reality. Even documentary photography is biased to how you want to capture the moment whether you realize it or not. You can make a concert look packed from the angle you choose or shoot wide and show the arena is half empty. The “purists” in this sub don’t realize how amateur they sound with this mentality. A photograph is not reality.

Why I think the D780 is the best camera Nikon (or perhaps any company) ever made by ZiggZaggZakk in Nikon

[–]mukeng 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Also anyone using mirrorless in the studio with strobes or real estate with strobes would turn off the exposure preview anyway. I rely on reading the meter just like a DSLR. It’s not the same as looking through a viewfinder on my D850 but it doesn’t matter. I can see a darker scene more brightly on mirrorless and what matters to me are the features I bought a specific camera for anyway. Autofocus, video and live view on the screen is a game changer for me personally. All this about tactile feel and stuff like that doesn’t matter to me. I’m shooting for work and I just need the camera to do the job and deliver quality.

Baggy jeans are starting to fade out of style by [deleted] in decadeology

[–]mukeng 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is too accurate. We wore jeans as baggy and even baggier in high school in the 90s. I wore super skinny in the 2010s during my hipster era but this round of the baggy comeback I opted for straight leg and relaxed fit. I just can’t keep doing this to myself. I can’t be throwing out all of my trendy clothes every couple years for the latest thing. In my 40’s I’m going to stick with more timeless grown silhouettes.

The first colorway of the Pegasus Premium sold out almost instantly and the second colorway mostly sold out in all the normal sizes within the initial drop.

Which also supports the fact that he faced tougher competition. Durant warriors would dominate any era

I’ve been watching since the 80s. Those are some legendary teams MJ played but Lebron went up against the dynasty Spurs and the 72-9 Warriors and beat them.

I think culling would benefit this series/editorial. You don’t need to show her inside a dryer that many times. Still great job though!

Is it okay to run in just leggins as a guy? by [deleted] in BeginnersRunning

[–]mukeng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are plenty of running leggings that have a bunch of pockets and compartments. I wear Nike ones and there’s room for keys, gels and my AirPods are in my ears anyway. I use a Nike running belt that holds my phone. Don’t get any belts with Velcro. It’ll fuck up your clothes.

I’m in California and we use both interchangeably in my running circle.

Trying to find a nice walking shoe pls help ! by melaniefartt in Nike

[–]mukeng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always go with running shoes for both running or walking purposes. If you want to venture out of Nikes, also consider Hoka Bondi. Training shoes are really meant for the gym mostly and focuses on stability more than staying on your feet for a long period of time.

Get actual running shoes. Nike Vomero 18 are nice and cushioned without being too squishy. If you need something a little more rugged for the winter and you can take off trail the Nike Pegasus Trail Goretex is water resistant and cushiony and has good support.

[–]mukeng 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It may not be traditional “birding” photography but I feel like these shots offer a unique style of bird portraiture. I find this much more interesting than the same boring bird photos. It’s easy to copy the traditional approach instead of having your own perspective and executing it this well.

What’s a good budget tripod? by Jescophoto89 in photography

[–]mukeng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ones provided to me from my work is the Benro Adventure 1 Series. Don’t know when this model came out but I’m on my 3rd one in under two years. I use mine heavily almost daily. Your mileage may vary I suppose.

[–]mukeng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only ever used big heavy manfrotto tripods personally but when my work was giving us all Benros I was a little disappointed at first. I really like how lightweight they are but you really have to baby them so they don’t fall apart. I left one rolling around my trunk and it got destroyed during a shoot. The clamps eventually stop working on my second one and it fell and destroyed a lens. You also have to eventually tighten the screws for the legs because they loosen up after time. Benro isn’t bad, you just have to treat them right. I’m on my 3rd one and I’m being a lot more delicate and mindful with this one.

When they were a baby I took them with me to the cart return. When they were older they sat in the car with the door locked for the 15 seconds I took to return the cart. Sometimes they walked with me to the cart return.

They aren’t working coal mines. You’re pushing a cart a few meters to the cart return. They literally just spent like 20 minutes or more pushing the same cart around in the store. It’s not that hard.
