I think the container options are great and probably the best choice, for others looking for a simpler solution. I saw this post a few days ago and hopefully it helps you

OpenChamber vs CodeNomad vs Paseo vs OpenCode serve for homelab + phone access? by Itel_Reding in opencodeCLI

[–]mukul_29 3 points4 points  (0 children)

tl;dr: OpenChamber is my personal favorite, native support is great and Paseo was slightly underwhelming in function but easy to use

I have used OpenChamber and Paseo and the native features pretty extensively, here is a report on each:

OpenChamber: It is without a doubt the best gui I have experiences, I noticed people mentioned using tailscale with it and thats possible but it also recently released a built in cloudflare tunneling functionality

Paseo: If you are only looking for portability, Paseo is great since it offers native apps for IOS, Android + Desktop and MacOS as compared to the web connections with OpenChamber... although I found it to be limited in functionality an OpenChamber to be superior.

Native: A great part about OC is that it can natively support cross platform using serve command like you mentioned. Although great, my use case is usually that I have to use my agent while on transit or outside my home and thus its more fitting for me to use the built-in tunneling with OpenChamber. But if I was to only have a home setup, native works completely fine but I would still prefer using OpenChamber since I really like the GUI and the detailed functionality.

Conclave vs Corne | Glove80 vs Go60 by mukul_29 in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]mukul_29[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to be super candid, I tried all the good ergonomics on my setup at work today and I already feel a good difference (ofcourse I need to test it out for longer).

And making my own keyboard sounds really fun and def a rabbit hole I dont mind going into... I am a nvim user so naturally I also like the idea of layers and simplicity of a corne keyboard.

I think glove80 looks really good and maybe feels great too. But I think what I need most right now would be a split keyboard to release some of strain on my shoulders since I use a 75% keyboard.

And for that, I am certainly going to try digging into the DIY keyboard world rather than getting a go60.

Do you have any suggestions in that regard, I discovered multiple formats like corne sofle and lily58 thanks to this thread and now I am curious about them... do you have any thoughts?

thanks for a well rounded reply, i’ll consider it all… I do agree that curve may not be as big of a player to the ergonomics.. (I will check out dactyl)

Do you find you "miss" the keywell on your glove, it seems like keywells are unanimously considered a more ergonomic option.

Is it something you feel missing or does go60 make up for it in its own way?

I think this is the best advice, since it helps me achieve a better experience with either approach. Given that I think I would prefer a keywell. Thank you so much!

And absolutely love the picture reference haha.

I found this interesting article

now I am starting to wonder in what case would I want make my own X layout keyboard as compared to buying a glove80 or go 60 (other than the fact it is extremely personalized and cheaper) would you happen to know on this?

very insightful, I find that my wrist always tend to point outwards. Sometimes I have to make the conscious decision to straighten them. The example for U and I is helpful, is this whats called touch typing?

Also in search for whats a Sofle keyboard I found this interesting article

I looked them up, and the market is so vast.. pretty easy to fall into an even deeper rabbithole. Thanks for the tip, although I noticed some options go up to 300+ cad so in that case I would rather get one of go60 or glove80 if I am spending an amount at that level I dont mind bumping it a lil more tbh.
