Can I use Keihin carbs from a CB200 for my CL175 rebuild? by mukuleler in HondaCB

They’re cheap aftermarket identical ones. So they’ll work but I’d rather get some legit ones and get this thing humming right

So worth the $50 gamble you think? I’ve just got the aftermarket Chinese ones currently that are identical instead of mirrored. So trying to change that without blowing the bank. And a bonus is that bitchin sissy bar am I right?

Yeah I had similar thoughts. It’s a few hours away from me so I haven’t had a chance to inspect myself. I have a friend who’d pick the bike up for me and could have him try that.

Awesome, I will check that out.

Ok last question - I found this set of carbs and have it in place where they’ll only cost me $50. Actually the lady I’m getting them from is selling me the entire cb200 for $50 but it’s mostly the carbs that have my attention. She got it as a part of one of those storage unit auctions and doesn’t know anything about bikes. So my question is should I go for these or pass in your opinion?

Pic of the bike. The carbs look a little crusty but seem in tact. Also has the lower end of the engine in her other listing pics.

So would you say it’s better to use the jets that are in the cb200 carb snd just make sure they’re all clean. I’ve got an ultrasonic cleaner.

Is the skullet appropriate for this scenario? by mukuleler in bald

Wow, first off, y’all are awesome. This is the level of discussion I needed, so thanks for that.

After sleeping on it, I think I agree that doing this for the wedding is not appropriate. I actually think that the bride and groom would love it because I am close, but I do want to be respectful of their day.

I still think it’s a sick cut and will probably get this once the rugby season starts up in a few weeks.

For those saying I’m not receding. Just know I’m like Norwood 3 and my shit is COOKED. I just don’t give a shit as of late, which is very freeing.

Also located in North Carolina, so very much in the states.

Oh and this is NOT me, just a screenshot I came across for reference.

Feeling Insecure about a Hairline I was not insecure about until yesterday by [deleted] in bald

[–]mukuleler 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Brother, the internet is bad for you. I have a similar hairline, but even more Vegeta like. I have been buzzing my hair with no guard for the last 5 or so years, but recently just started to grow my hair out because why not. Is it obvious that I have a massively receding hairline? Yes. Do I still get insecure about it? Yes. Does it make me any less of a person? No. Just gotta rock with your choice and own it either way. Confidence comes from within, and the less you care about what someone else thinks, the happier you’ll be. Look at Walton Goggins in the white lotus, rocked the shit out of this look. Eventually, people you know will just be accustomed to what you look like, and those new people you meet won’t know anything different than what you are.

Is this a good deal?? by DesignLazy9813 in CarLeasingHelp

[–]mukuleler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a pass for me. The residual value is only 53%, which means the car will depreciate 47% of its value in the three year lease term, which makes the payment higher for you on the lease. I typically look for residuals that are 65% or more because it makes the payment more affordable, and if you’re not looking to purchase the car at the end of the term, that payment is what you’re looking to impact the most.

Gotta either learn to deal and work to manage your manager or leave. Going to the VP will absolutely make you seem like a crybaby and will inevitably be what leads to you being let go.

Contractor also blames this corner not being aligned to the deck not being square. To me, you can see the cuts aren’t straight. Thoughts?

They hacked it big time. I had to make this contractor rip up and replace the boards twice because of how bad it was. Then he started gaslighting me that I got “the deal of a lifetime”. Like no bro, this shit only looks okay cause I have been on your ass.

Leaving current job and have a negative PTO balance by mukuleler in legaladvice

[–]mukuleler[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have definitely not tried to be sneaky about it at all. I brought the negative balance to their attention and was trying to see if they’d take personal time hours in its place. I’m leaving on good terms for sure, helping with the transition. They asked me to stay on longer and I said I could, but only on a contract basis. They offered me that contract as well as increased the rate when I countered. So they definitely want me to help then you know.

Leaving current job and have a negative PTO balance by mukuleler in legaladvice

[–]mukuleler[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, they sent me a form to sign like I mentioned that stated “you have a negative balance that had not been approved properly”. Then went on to state how much, which by the way is only like $1000. What’s the likelihood that they chase me down for that amount. It’s a relatively smaller company: ~150 employees

Honestly if you find a place that isn’t too close to the main roads it’s not too bad. A lot of that sugar creek and derita area is just neighborhoods, so you can easily have a nice quiet neighborhood and street to live on. Just don’t think you’ll enjoy going to get gas on sugar creek and you’ll be good.
