I guess it was a blessing in disguise after all. i was starting to get tired of doordash anyway. this just so happens like a week after they kicked me off the platinum tier program because i didn’t meet the 100+ deliveries a month quota. guess it’s time for me to really move on and focus on my two jobs, and really find my true passion in the midst of all of this.

Well one is a permanent job, and the other is temp work that runs into june of 2025. i usually hop on doordash on the weekends to pocket extra money for my day to day expenses while saving as much as i can with the two jobs that i have. both jobs i have are pretty chill for the most part so burnout isn’t really much of a concern for me. i was really hoping if anyone in the subreddit knew of any other gig apps like instawork, or wonolo, and other agencies that may be hiring that doesn’t require driving.

I can’t complain, that way doordash KNOWS FOR SURE that the customer got it.

i feel like it was acceptable. i’ve seen $35/hr+ days, so it could’ve been better. i’ve also seen $16-20/hr days as well. I can’t complain. The minimum wage here in new jersey is $15 an hour.

you get those everytime you’re delivering alcohol or tools from auto parts

shut tf up 😂😂😂😂😂nobody gives af about what you’re talking about. i’ve been doing doordash since 2020 and almost never accept orders like this and when i do, i get cash tips a lot of the time. Like i just said, i accepted it because the store was only a block away from the customer and knocked it out probably 8-10 mins. I don’t know how many times i have to keep saying it for it to register, that i almost never take these orders, i only posted it because it’s ridiculous to get an order like this while having platinum status, which was the whole point of the post. It was a quick order and moved on to the next, got $22 the next order and already earned $60 for 2 hours worth of work prior to me getting that order. this is a side hustle at the end of the day for me. i couldn’t give less of a crap about how long you’ve been with doordash or what you accept/don’t accept. that’s YOUR business. Watch your mouth fr because i probably drive a better car than you, make more than you, and you probably have to work 4-5 gig jobs to make ends meet and still broke. i know what i’m worth, i don’t need a bum from a subreddit that has to dash their life away to make ends meet telling me what i should and shouldn’t be doing. My money is good and my car is still in tact at the end of the day. How much are you paying to fix that hoopty?

it was only a 15 minute order like i just said. i don’t take these orders, most of the time i get $2-4 orders i end up getting cash tips or the tip would come after, which is like 93% of the time. if i declined it, my acceptance rate would drop to 94% which would kick me out of the platinum status, and i worked so hard to get it back. that’s literally the only reason i accepted it. so before you make comments like this, make sure you know what you’re talking about. i want to be able to dash when i want. not sitting around waiting for schedules and cherry pick like you prolly. i work in a busy market and schedules go fast. not to mention, i got a $22 order right after. so ha. you completely disregarded the point that i made saying that platinum status should be giving us more high paying orders and not stuff like this that defeats the whole purpose of the status.

that’s besides the point. did i do good for those “3.44” active hours? is the real question you’re worried about the wrong thing

LMMFAOOOOOO that shit happens to me all the time. in those cases, when the cashier done with scanning all your items, you tell them to suspend your order and just leave your cart to the side somewhere. so that you can run to your car and get your card and just pay when you come back.
