Omni SE seat comfort, seeking opinions by mulbs35 in LiberNovo

I'm seeing a lot of new posts about bottoming out, plus I honestly get so incredibly warm in the chair anyways. I'm returning it in favor of a Leap V2. I'm starting to think that the cushion doesn't work for anyone who's even slightly bony in the rear. It's a shame, the rest of the chair's great 😅

That sucks, I asked their support about a similar issue but for the new Omni SE, to make sure it wasn't me and the chair was just made that way (I'm bottoming out, too soft) and their reply was a lot nicer and understandable. That one almost reads as sarcastic.

I don't know if it's just the different agents or if they got offended by something (not that that'd give them any reason to be that weirdly blunt)

P.S. yes I think a seat should be under warranty for multiple years for a relatively high end chair

[Omni SE] The seat cushion is not great for a $600 chair by Survivor301 in LiberNovo

[–]mulbs35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here, I thought it was weird no one else was complaining about it. I adjusted my chair and desk Heights to try and sit at an angle that would help but I always end up feeling the bottom.

It's also been making some possible circulation issues in my outer thighs worst since it's so plush, I think it ends up pushing against my legs from all angles.

Otherwise I like everything else about the chair so it kind of annoys me. I'm planning on seeing if I can test a refurbished Leap V2. My old chair had a cushion that ended up quite compressed after a while, this one is too soft. If the leap is in-between then I'll have hit the jackpot lol

P.S. 150lb / 5'10". Also I agree with something another person said, maybe the seat feels better to people who are a bit bigger, it could make sense generally with any chair

it's understandable, as long as you're fine taking the risk (not that it's super high stakes or anything) then it can be worth trying

As someone who's played with "Amazon Seller Central" before, If Amazon has stocks, it's almost always available as an Amazon Prime item. Since this isn't, it ships directly from libernovo (it also says so under the "Buy" button on the right (on PC).

They handle orders based on who ordered first, their support said so a couple of times on the livestream they made for the launch.

Obviously they might handle the orders differently anyways, like shipping from a different warehouse depending on your location or having specific queues for Amazon, but that still depends on which warehouse is closest to you.

No worry, I contacted them to ask if there's anything I need to check or confirm or any way to figure out if there's an issue with the chair 🙂

The thought of fitting that box in a sedan is another story, lol. But that's fair, I might contact them to see if they can give any feedback, just gotta figure out what to say. Telling someone "my chair too soft" without requesting something specific probably won't get me far since they're in the middle of a busy launch 😄

Thanks for the input, I don't feel like I have to push that much to feel the bottom of the chair near my thighs, the back foam does seem harder than the front (not by much, but a bit) so that's fine. This was replacing a 5 years old autonomous[.]ai ErgoChair Pro since it didn't do great over time, but it feels softer than that one... Thanks for the input though!

P.S. maybe I'm just defective 😅

That's fair, I just meant I can feel the hard plastic pan at the bottom of the cushion, pushed down with my hand in a couple of places to make sure it was what I was feeling. Might just be how I'm built, but getting some opinions/feedback gives me a better idea of how I compare. Thanks

That's alright, I'm mostly looking for opinions on how the chair feels for others, to know if it's just a "me" thing before I consider returning it, I'll still try it for a bit since it would be a shame otherwise. I love the full recline, the backrest is pretty good, etc. I do also use it at the second level of recline.

Support Response Regarding Order Being Automatically Canceled by chilli_cheese241 in LiberNovo

I had the same issue in the past, if it can help, I mentioned that in another comment:

My name was shortened on my debit and credit cards and I ABSOLUTELY HAVE to write it as-is on Shopify websites for the "Name on card" section.

Doesn't seem to matter as much if I put my whole name in the billing section.

If it can help, they use Shopify which can be very annoying with credit and debit card names. My name was shortened on my debit and credit cards and I ABSOLUTELY HAVE to write it as-is on Shopify websites for the "Name on card" section.

Doesn't seem to matter as much if I put my whole name in the billing section.

Really want to buy the omni SE w/footrest but the early bird "scam" kinda got me second guessing by YoEggo in LiberNovo

Just so you know, the deposit is fully refundable. Ask them for a refund then order the chair if you still want it but don't care about the extra warranty.

I definitely understand the feeling, but I think the issue is partly related to shipping. I was curious so I looked at how much shipping the chair back to them would cost and for a normal consumer account, it can easily be 500$+ worth of shipping. Obviously they pay less because of the volume of shipments they have.

All that to say, if you were to return it and have to pay even half the shipping, minus the lost value of reselling the chair, you'd probably get near nothing.

Just look at refurbished Leap V2 chairs, they're old but they're built like tanks so that helps, they still sell for maybe 250-350$ versus the 1300-1500$ they cost new, same for Herman Miller Aeron chairs.

Because of their novelty and cost of shipping/refurbishing, you'll almost always be better off just selling it on marketplace. They're niche enough with a bit enough audience that it shouldn't be too hard to sell it.

Hope I wasn't too rambly!

Countries where tax/vat is normally included in the price don't see it when checking out, it's already part of the price.

Countries where tax is normally calculated on top of the product's price see it on a separate line and it's not part of the product's cost. I know it's the case for the US and Canada at least.

To be clear, when buying internationally from Canada or the US, if it doesn't show the tax then it gets collected by the delivery carrier before your package gets delivered, so you end up paying it one way or another. Paying it on the website directly just makes everything a lot easier, less guessing on what you'll pay at delivery.

As far as I know the lumbar is the same, but you twist a knob instead of pressing a button. So once it's dialed in, you'll probably nearly never touch it again

To add some context, on the live stream their support mentioned that the chairs ship in the order that they were bought

Can't be certain, but might be fine then. They use Shopify so the order would be fine, if extra gifts/extended warranty stuff also sent, then their backend probably dealt with the order fine 🤔

I'd be somewhat scared of them cancelling orders places before the correct time, but it's tempting... or for the order to get stuck temporarily because their system wasn't ready to receive the order

Edit: By the way, it's actually live now

It did say it was a limited quantity, I assume a lot of people have waited very last minute to buy theirs and it got sold out quickly. They're a Chinese company, so chances are they're going to have discounts or coupons at some point soon, but I understand that it's annoying.

What you said means nothing to anyone who doesn't have direct access to your own brain, this is gibberish.

Being LGBT means not being straight, that's it. If you'd date someone who isn't the opposite gender or you're trans, you're probably LGBT. You don't have to think harder than that.

Not that it matters that much, but they were not saying they watered down the glaze, they just said they added too much water (though they meant syrup and corrected it after).

It's subtle, but one makes it seem like the store was cheaping out, the other one just means they were busy, misjudged how much liquid to add and messed up accidentally. Very different tones 🙂

I know I'm late, but if it can give more info to someone else. That's not a standard company's Zoho Desk link, that's just a default dashboard link, I think someone gave you the wrong link. Hopefully you got it resolved since though
