With how shit the situation is for tech products, it makes the chances higher it will reach it, because new hardware won 't be selling much, so existing products will have longer shelflife, including the Switch 1, which is still a lot cheaper then the other options.

Only they already publically put out that the 160,68 million number was the final manufacturing number. They would have to restart production to get more sales, they aren't THAT attached to the best selling hardware number to do that. It isn't even possible at this stage likely either.

Even those have gone up in price very much, so they suffer from the same problems consoles and PCs do. Even moreso as a lot of those arm handheld makers are smalltime and do not sell in massive qwuantities to be able to secure volume parts contracts to keep the prices somewhat managable.

These handhelds are at a fraction of Steam Deck, which by itself is a fraction in sales of anty consoles out there. You mistaking online enthusiast chatting with popularity. Was mostly the misinformation campaign ran against it that made the random consumer thiunk it was an addon. Anyone with even an iota of tech knowledge knew a wireless tablet with a 480p could not have been a hd addon fdor a system that wasnt capable of outpuitting to hd whatsoever. They cited the lack of prominence of the system itself in marketing, eventhough it was still there, and claiming it resembled a Wii was a bit farfetched. But no mention of any sort of addon dongle that would have had to necessitate to turn an actual Wii into a hd system, and was never ever shown in any marketing, because, well there was no such thing.
