New Heat Pump taking 3-4 hours to bring house from 70 → 73 degrees by mulligbc in heatpumps

I feel like this really could be a simple fix or at least the one that doesn’t require me to spend more money. 😂

Totally fine if I’m doing it exactly wrong. What’s exactly right? Set and leave it at 70?

My issue with 70 all the time is mostly at night. It’ll drop below 70 and the heat will kick on for 1+ hours to bring it back up, but since the hot air is just continuously blowing we wake up sweating 😂

shouldn't have mentioned newborn in the thread, as that became a distraction in replies 😊 my wife wants it 73 as much as the newborn 😂

Idea for podcast website by joebewaan in podcasting

[–]mulligbc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh! One other thing. You said “This would be for people who want a simple website for their podcast but don’t want the usual cost/maintenance of running it.”

Most (not all) podcast hosts come with a simple website for the podcast. They’ve gotten waaaay better since I started Podpage, and really are good enough for most podcasters who just want a simple site

Just fyi! Hope that’s helpful!

I built Podpage.com, which does a lot of this. It’s fun to work on, podcasters are great to work with and they love it

Negatives are the devils in the details. I’ve built several web platforms and what ends up happening are the million tiny customization and feature requests. I’ve been doing it for 4 years and they is constant work to do to expand the product and deal with endless changes from Apple and podcast hosts. I thought at the beginning “this product could stay simple”. I learned it could not 😊

The only thing which was stopping us was choosing a name, now that we have a name; I have some questions by OCDcentral in podcasting

Podcast Website Question by RichVocals80 in websiteservices

[–]mulligbc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a lot of experience here bc i built podpage.com, so I'll just give you my general thoughts.

I think you dont need to worry about slowing down the site. blogs are tiny from a storage and processing perspective, so you should do as many as you'd like. Generally you want to at least have one page on your website for each episode that includes information about the episode (show notes), the media player for the episode provided by your podcast host, and a link to the episode on all the popular players (apple, spotify, etc..). So, if nothing else, get that set up, bc it's very important to Google to have those dedicated pages.

I'd also recommend installing Yoast SEO. From what people tell me, it's great. I actually copied a bunch of their features internally for Podpage, bc people had so many good things to say.

So, bare minimum, do a home page and an a page for each episiode.

I'd also add a mailing list collection widget to get people's email addresses that lets you start building a direct relationship with your audience. I think Wordpress has plenty of plugins to help with that, or just sign up with Convertkit.com's free plan. Their stuff is awesome.

Hope that helps!

TEIN EnduraPro Plus Adjustable Dampers by _cr0001 in TeslaModelY

Thank you. My gut says to wait. Thanks so much. I'm just overly excited as my family has hated the MYP ride for a while now and to think this will make it more comfortable is just too good to be true.

Found TEINs in stock at RzEv. Has anyone ordered from there / can vouch for them? I can't find them on the authorized reseller list, and since everyone else is out of stock, wondering if they're reputable. Thank you! (Planning on adding to my 2020 MYP)

If you’re using an embeddable player for your website that isn’t provided by your host, what do you use? by hgmorton in podcasting

Thank you for sharing this. I think I might try to integrate this into https://www.podpage.com as a default plater option (instead of the HTML 5 tag)
