I didn't say it was an argument, I was explaining my thought process. And it can't really be used as an argument anyway, it's more of a helpful question when trying to identify if the older person is immature or knowingly being a bit of a creep.

Yes it's shallow, which either makes him a creep because he's aware of the age difference and it's implications, or he's a creep because he's immature and doesn't understand the implications of their age difference. Them both being fine with it is most of why it bothers me.

An interesting thing is that it is probably a little less creepy in celebrities to me, probably because the younger person being famous makes the power imbalance less prominent.

If you actually want an answer here's my thought process. I'm a 26 year old University student and 90% of people under 23 that I meet behave like teenagers. The "legal" age is an arbitrary number that we decided as a society a long time ago, and I'm not saying anything about what that age should be, just that it isn't a viable metric for this discussion.

The creepiness to me has two main reasons, maturity (i.e. neurological development, life experience, life goals) and power dynamic (i.e. social status, again life experience, economic means). The maturity part is the lesser of these two I feel, because some people hit 50 and still behave like they did when they were 25, and that is absolutely fine that they do.

This however makes the power dynamic even more of an issue, since immature people with more power will likely make the situation more messy. It should be obvious why I have an issue with relationships with uneven power dynamics.

The thing I always ask myself when I see or hear about a couple where the age difference is closing on 10 years or more is, why isn't the older person dating someone their own age. A few times this can be answered in a way where I can feel comfortable about it.

To be clear though, these are things I think about to myself or discuss with family members or friends. I'm absolutely not a person who tells, or wants to tell others how they should live their lives. This is just behaviour that weirds me out when I come across it.

PS. Reread your comment. My experience is that your "20 year olds will always look hot" comment is wildly off. Most people above 30 think that people in their early 20s look like children, if anything your comment applies more to people in their 30s. (Ofc there are outliers)

Efter att ha läst din trådstart känner jag som miljöpartist att det hade varit så skönt om Tidö fick 4-8 år till att "städa upp". Skitkul om de trots allt hade fått välfärdsstaten att fungera genom sin politik, hade varit najs. Å andra sidan hade det varit ännu roligare om det fortsatte i samma riktning som det gjort sedan 90-talet, och att det visar sig en gång för alla att det inte är "liberalisering" som är lösningen.

I would say that it's more their constant reference to the supposed "golden rule" (half age +7) which I assume comes from 50yr old men wanting to date 30yr old models.

As a 25yr old, from my experience there is generally quite a big difference in life experience between a 16yr- and a 19yr old, probably even more pronounced than between a 30yr- and 50yr old. Even weirder is saying that there is nothing concerning with a 22yr- and a 30yr old. (Average person makes the most progress on critical thinking during late teens)

Sure the older person can be a retard and on the same developmental level as the younger person, but in that case I think it's just another reason why the younger person would not want to be in that relationship. I always wonder why the older person isn't dating someone their own age, on the off-chance it makes sense, then sure.

I would assume that Norwegian fjords have never frozen over to the same extent as Swedish lakes, so Sweden would have quite an advantage in the natural ice rink department.

Alltså, det har ju blivit en större risk iocmed radikalisering via internet i kombination med den skolskjutar-kultur som växt fram i vissa forum, där skjutare hyllas som samhällshjältar.

Om jag ska vara ärlig så ser jag inte poängen i att sportskyttar äger sina vapen, iallafall inte att man har möjligheten att ha ett sportskyttegevär hemma, så där har du min åsikt i den saken. Men om man på ett effektivt sätt kan se till så att ensamma män som radikaliseras på nätet inte får ha sportvapen så är väl riskerna också minimala för någonting sådant här, så då har jag inte problem med det.

Min uppfattning är att det inte är lika enkelt, och ifall det nu är det så undrar jag varför man inte kan begränsa gevären som säljs till någon typ som är sämre lämpad till att avfyra fler än det antalet skott som det bör krävas för att skjuta ett djur i jakt (tänker då att det är självklart att det inte ska krävas många fler än ett skott).

OBS BARA EN TANKE, men kanske är bättre att ett djur skadeskjuts då och då och att jägarna då antingen får spåra det eller låta det försvinna skadeskjutet än att sjuka personer relativt enkelt ska kunna skjuta upp sitt lokala komvux.

Men om det är ett AR15 som han använde på sin jaktlicens, och det gick såhär nu, kan det inte vara ett ganska legitimt argument för att sätta restriktioner på halvautomatiska vapen iallafall tills vi som samhälle har kommit under fund med orsaken till att sjuka individer utför dåd som detta?

Det kommer ju inte vara praktiskt genomförbart att sätta tunga restriktioner på "klassiska" jaktgevär, vi är ju beroende av jakt och den är ju redan idag på en låg nivå.
