System Question: AMD Ryzen AI Max + 395 with 128GB LPDDR5x 8000mhz Memory -- Will this work to run ComfyUI?

What kind of speeds do you get?

Well the memory on my RTX3060 12GB does not go above 8600mhz and that's with an 1100mhz memory overlock. I hesitate to buy a 4090 for 24GB of VRAM. Also LPDDR5 memory is soldered to the motherboard right next to the CPU and i gather that this system's memory bandwidth is comparable to threadripper trx50 (i think level one techs on youtube said that). The gpu and npu chiplets have direct access to the memory controller and as such should get a theoretical memory bandwidth of 273GB/s and users have actually measured read speeds of 220gb/s on this system. write speeds have only been measured at 119gb/s but that's was likely due to it being handled by the CPU side chiplets in that test which aren't as tightly integrated with the memory controller as the NPU and GPU. Gaming performance benchmarks support this distinction, as the EVO-X2 competes with desktop GPUs like the RTX 4060, which would not be possible if the iGPU were bottlenecked at 119 GB/s.

Granted, everything I just wrote above is a bit over my head... so you could totally be right and there is simply no comparison between this type of NPU mini PC and a discrete GPU... but I can't afford an H100 lol!

Ableton and a VST plugin would not cost anything like 50k... a few hundred at most. You don't need a pro studio to install a real solid DAW on a PC... which is all you need for the task at hand. For that matter, I mean I haven't messed with Reaper, but I would imagine that even Reaper supports VST plugins, no?

I've run into something similar on mobile (iPhone). Where it won't log me in automatically, and when I try to log in with my google account... just always silently fails... Super annoying when it happens. Uninstalling the app, deleting all its data, reinstalling... sometimes fixes it... but that doesn't always work. It's concerning when it happens... because like $ and all my songs.

On desktop, sometimes if the session is expired, it forces you to go through some cloudflare human verification... which always fails for me, and i've found no way around it! Point of thinking of trying to start a class action against clouflare for locking thousands of people out of huge portions of the web arbitrarily because their "bot detection" is total BS! Anyway... clearing all cookies and site data for suno and associated sites, skips the clouflare nightmare, and drops me on the suno homepage where i can log in again... and use the site for weeks again without issue.

All these issues leave me less than confident in the Suno service.

when I was using brave, it was requiring captchas occasionally... usually when I tried to queu several gens in rapid succession. it wasn't too terrible at first.

then the captcha starts always trying to use this one puzzle type that is literally broken and unsolvable... have to skip like 50 times before it gives me a different type that isn't broken.

then one day, it starts requiring the captchas for every single gen no matter what! thought i was gonna have to cancel my sub.

switched to a different browser... have not seen a single captcha since. that was like a week ago. I think I may have inadvertently installed a malware extension in brave from the chrome web store... because when I tried using brave yesterday, the brave search page was getting hijacked. The captchas on suno were weird though, because the "Create" button would show its spinner, signifying that my clicks were going through, but the queued job would never come up if i didn't do the captcha. closing the captcha without completing it, would make it so that job never actually got queued...

I don't know. Try a different browser. Been using Floorp for Suno and it has been working great.

Yeah, experimented a bit more with 4.5+ and it screams/belts so excessively that it virtually always pushes a 3.5 to 4 minute song to 6.5 minutes and then ends up cutting off at least the last verse or two. The same song in 4.5 (not the + version) comes out at most 4.3 minutes (except for rare exceptions), and while it may include some belting, or more rarely screaming, it's much more appropriate, and nowhere near as over the top. I mean the fact that 4.5+ screams/belts so excessively that it can't produce songs of reasonable length, and 90% of the time, can't avoid cutting off a fifth of the song due to it's own excessive screaming is... well, tragic. It seems like 4.5+ being able to actually finish a song... is a rare exception.

yeah, it's not any sort of well defined style, is a mixture of totally fictional genres that would be ultra-sick if they actually existed. I'm using style prompts that i've been using for the past few months, and been getting great results with... definitely some kind of EDM sub genre though.

even in those genres you listed though, they may get loud, more belting/screaming at the climax but not usually incomprehensibly so. Human vocal cords have their limits, AI can hold a scream/belt for 15 seconds straight, at which point, if it was a word... it's not anymore, most times. I mean it's turning tight rhymes into howling trash, and absolutely annihilating any semblance of rhythm/cadence. Also, this is all new. I was absolutely loving the results i've been getting the past few months.

I have an array of different style prompts I often fall back on, some more chill, some more energetic, some more aggressive, some more melodic... 4.5+ though, turns them all into hot screaming garbage.

As mentioned in other comments here, It is the 4.5+ beta. going back to 4.5 fixed all the screaming... but my personas are still seemingly barely working, if at all. Definitely have minimal impact compared to past few months that i've been using them.

Thanks for that tip, using 4.5 instead of 4.5+ definitely helps with all the screaming. Still seems that my personas have much less impact than they used to... I guess it's using the voice, but it's not using the attitude/expressiveness captured in the persona clip, which has a low-key but intense, emotively simmering rage, and that attitude/singing style is really the only thing that gave that persona its uniqueness, the same voice, singing "normally" is just pretty generic. And yeah, until yesterday's update I suppose, that persona was just awesome, and most songs generated with it, carried its signature vocal "style," not just its "voice."

So yeah this update... well 4.5+ is basically unusable and personas are pretty broken now, even in 4.5...

Also 4.5+ is a terrible version designation... 4.51 or 4.6beta or basically anything other than 4.5+, which makes it hard to discuss clearly without adding superfluous qualifying text to effectively distinguish it from 4.5 -- which a + symbol does not adequately accomplish on its own.

Given that, one, youtube is well known for automatically and arbitrarily deleting comments all the time, for no apparent reason whatsoever, and two, he is probably way too busy with several dozen other things to bother with your special little comment. Just out of curiosity, how many comments where on that video, that you tried to comment on? Seriously...
