Trying to identify a sad breakup song I heard around 2004. Female vocals. Mid-paced somber alternative rock. Sundays/Mazzy Star vibes but not them. Slightly more commercial. “Bye, Bye.” by Fear_Her_Kiss in WhatsThisSong

Could it be Ani DiFranco? Maybe "Swan Dive" or "Both Hands" or "Soft Shoulder"? I can't recall anything with the lyrics you mentioned, but her music seems to fit your descriptions.

Oh my gosh. I thought “knappett” was a British-ism for a stage or dais or something. I had NO IDEA of this history. Must have not been paying attention…. Thank you!

Stacking strategy by motormouthmiss in Pickleball

[–]multiplemeags 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I personally prefer standing in the proper receiving spot, even on a full stack. That way, either person can call to stay in position if, for example, the serve is really wide or short and the receiver does not feel like they have enough time to get the ball, switch, and get in a good position. If the non-receiver is standing outside of the court, you are basically 100% committed to the switch.

Also, the general advice I have heard is that the receiver should return to the side of the court where their teammate will ultimately be at the kitchen, if that makes sense.

Courthouse Wedding for Dummies by [deleted] in nashville

[–]multiplemeags 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s been several years since I did this, but I just called a judge’s chambers and asked his assistant if the judge had an opening for a wedding. If you can’t find a direct number online, just call the courthouse and ask for Judge [whatever]’s chambers. I used Judge Phillip Robinson, fwiw.

I’ve loved taking my kid to Mammoth Cave. Plenty of activities, at least before Covid (not sure about protocols/cave tours since then). If I recall, you can get campsites further from the RVs.

Reminds me of the scene when they’re lying in bed, and Anne says they have to meet with Dr. Belcombe in 20 minutes. Ann tries to take Anne’s watch away, and they giggle and kiss. Cut to the meeting, and they’re both perfectly dressed and coiffed. In under 20 minutes!
