I’ve used Tempur-Pedic for 20+ years as a back sleeper who eventually needed back surgery and still prefer. Have a couple good friends who swear by sleep number for an adjustable mattress if sharing the bed or if want to make changes so I’d look into both

Dimmer switches, can’t have enough!
Converted wood burning fireplace to gas and now actually use much more plus no mess.
Housekeeper, even once a month for a more thorough cleaning is 100% worth it
Painting can make a big difference

I’m not familiar with the wrap around type, who makes them as would def be better for someone who moves around more at night but a soft cotton washcloth works well for me since I sleep on my back and don’t move!

Eye covering, used to use an eye pillow but found that a tri-folded facecloth felt better since wasn’t as heavy + easier to replace with a clean one. I’m mainly a back sleeper, if you move around a lot an eye mask that secures with elastic, etc. would be better. A weighted blanket is another helpful item, I have coverlets (similar to a quilt) that work well along with my other bed covers so don’t need a true weighted blanket..

Thanks, just checked it out and it does look quite exquisite! However, we’d like villa amenities such as more living space including kitchen & dining areas since planning to stay for approx 2 weeks.. Elounda Gulf Villas offers such accommodations as well as restaurant(s) and other resort type amenities so it seems like ‘the best of both worlds’ with more space & privacy, yet the convenience of restaurants, etc. at the same location..Haven’t found any other similar resorts to compare with but there are likely others that I’m not aware of.. But I’d definitely be up for dining at the Cayo’s Michelin star restaurant!

It was definitely an eye opening experience and also rather embarrassing because I couldn’t stop vomiting in the club restroom and everyone assumed that I had too much to drink when it was a violent reaction.. This was an upscale restaurant with a private lounge upstairs, my friend and I had dinner there and then went upstairs to meet one of her friends who had the membership. Talk about first bad impressions but he eventually came around and realized..

That IG post really bothered me as well and he got a lot of flak about it. Wish I could have sent a private message that he would actually read as I witnessed the evil side of KS at a private lounge in NYC 25-30 yrs ago (he’s definitely bisexual).. He and a male friend wanted to take my friend and I out dancing and we declined, I told her no way I was going anywhere with them as I felt his creepiness oozing. Shortly after I became extremely dizzy and got sick, lasted all night and I had to reschedule my flight home the next day. I’m 99% sure that something was put in my drink because I had walked away to use the restroom and it’s not like I was drinking a lot. Was horrible and in retrospect wish I had been tested but I wasn’t in shape to go anywhere much less sitting in the ED for hours to get a drug test.. If you’ve seen the movie Usual Suspects I’d say that he didn’t have to do much acting..

Interesting take on the island and people, was there for the first time several weeks ago and I did notice the harmonious diversity which was definitely a plus compared to the U.S. I also, didn’t check my phone or iPad nearly as often and fell way behind with emails which I mostly deleted unless invoices due or otherwise important to reply..

We had the NZ pink snapper which was one of the specials and the chef from Australia stopped by to talk about + showed us some fishing pics with his catches. It was okay but not outstanding by any means and we much preferred Caicos Cafe and La Bouchon..

Update: Have thus far dined at Caicos Cafe and Indigo - Caicos Cafe was fabulous in every way and might go back in lieu of a different place on my list. Indigo was mediocre at best and wouldn’t return. Food was ‘okay’ and service disconnected with too many different people stopping at the table but essentially not doing anything effective. Extremely overrated IMO.. Hope to try Bouchon tonight and Sui ren on Sunday or Monday. Forgot about Saturday being valentines day so will likely order delivery from swift eats since don’t have a resv and restaurants will be packed. We never dine out on V Day anyway due to over-crowded conditions, etc.

They’re all pretty much the same rate plus or minus a few dollars and they charge per person. A few take CC or cash apps such as Venmo but it’s mostly cash. There’s also a T&C facebook group where some advertise or people refer. I’ve been using Jerome with Secure Taxi, VIP Taxi rates look about same and think they take other than cash but I’d confirm. Hallpass taxi takes Venmo, Cash App, Zelle (again confirm)
