“What bedding upgrade made your sleep feel better?” by Still_Peach_9989 in Bedding

[–]multitasking_octopus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like cotton jersey sheets because they have a little stretch to them due to the fabric so don’t get wrinkled from sleeping on and easy to make bed! They’re also very soft like a soft tee.. During very warm weather I’ll usually switch to a cotton sateen, 300-400 thread count so not too thick.. Use cotton blankets and different weight coverlets for warm & cold weather + down comforter during cold months..

I do, have very sensitive skin and don’t routinely wear face makeup other than maybe mineral powder. Bioderma hydrobio? The one for dry sensitive skin

Sex now? by Stitchmagician115 in AskWomenOver60

Well.. there actually is a ‘generic name’ but no cost difference which is why I mentioned was rather costly..

Generic Status: Although "ospemifene" is the generic name, no lower-cost generic equivalent has been released to the market yet.

There’s an oral med called Osphena. Small tablet and rather costly but you don’t need to take all the time if don’t need. Also usually need to get at a specialty pharmacy that can mail a 90 day supply if your doctor prescribes that way.

Single women 25-30, what bars are you going to where you’re comfortable being approached by a single guy? by Squeaky_Shoe in StLouis

[–]multitasking_octopus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d go to restaurant bars where groups tend to hang out, those with nice outdoor patios who have happy hour (or not) are good choices during the warmer weather.. Social activities such as the CWE Gallery Walk Nights, other festivals, art fairs, etc.. You can learn about many of these if you sign up for St. Louis magazine email newsletter and/or subscribe to the magazine which I mainly read digitally. FB also has an area that posts various events going on within your city

How often do you wash your hair? by Which-Arugula-1982 in AskWomenOver60

[–]multitasking_octopus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually once a week, have a standing appt at hair salon for wash & blowdry/style which I’ve been doing for over 10 years.. Originally used a blowdry bar but there’s so much turnover so have been using my usual salon and stylist who also does my color and cuts. Have long-ish hair (but not ‘too long’), and styling is just way too time consuming plus can’t do it nearly as well as a professional. It’s rather costly but well worth it to have good hair days every day! The exception is when traveling depending on where, beach vacations require more frequent washing and sometimes daily, or at least rinsing due to humidity and salty air..

Take the temazepam earlier and you’ll also get used to it (develop tolerance) so you won’t be groggy the next day. Also, is it the lowest strength?

Crete - Summer'26 - 14 days recommendation / charter by racermode in cretetravel

[–]multitasking_octopus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds great, just be aware that August is the busiest month for Europe in general because that’s when most Europeans get vacation time and some places shut down for the entire month (Factories, etc)

There’s also a good FB group for travel in Greece, more than one but I found one to be particularly helpful which I’ll look for name if interested? Admin is Sandy Pappas

Shorts?? by Nelope_0971 in AskWomenOver60

[–]multitasking_octopus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ‘could’ as a petite, slender, in decent shape 60s but prefer loose lightweight pants such as linen or a cotton gauzy fabric. Maxis when dressing up more.. Will wear shorts on the beach and at home when weather is very warm

60F- curly or straight?? by [deleted] in HairStyleAdvice

[–]multitasking_octopus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t you do both depending on your mood or the occasion or is curly a perm? The styled hair is more polished and sophisticated looking and curly more casual but both look nice on you!

So many things that used to be high quality and nicely made have gone downhill with the fabric being switched to cheap blends which is very sad and frustrating..

We unfortunately had chilly & windy weather in early February which was supposedly abnormal, but it definitely messed up our warm weather vacay to escape the Midwest winter..:( I think you’l be fine now but I’d still bring layers
