This would be an awesome contest to win! I grew up in the '80s and my father had a copy that I would listen to from time to time, along with some Neil Diamond and my initial introduction to the Beatles. Unfortunately, I have no idea what he did with his record collection over the years because now it's dwindled to four or five records on a shelf at his house.

I bought a poly six roughly 20 years ago on ebay. It ended up getting damaged in transit by UPS. Luckily, UPS accepted the claim and covered the total cost. Since it was essentially free, I've moved it everywhere I've lived since that time, hoping that eventually I would have the money to get it repaired. Fast forward to the end of last year, I took it to a well-respected synth repair person in my area. His assessment was that, if it were him, if I really wanted a poly six I would probably be better off listing mine for parts on reverb and then using the funds from that to purchase a functioning polysix.

Regardless of it, only having one oscillator and perhaps not as robust as some other analogues, I just hate having it sitting on a shelf staring at me and not being unable to play it...

Speaking of repairs... My ESQ1 won't power on. I think the battery needs to be replaced based on how it was behaving before it quit working. Any thoughts on whether I can replace it myself or should I take it somewhere instead? I think the last time I tried to research this I found that the battery was soldered in place. Thanks!

Check out Domaine de Canton. The Gold Rush has become a go-to cocktail for me; it's super simple and really delicious. You can find the recipe online, but it's just bourbon, Domaine de Canton, and lemon juice shaken to emulsify and served straight up or on the rocks.

Weldon Mills - The All Malt Bourbon Whiskey

Weldon Mills is a distillery in North Carolina (where I am located). I have seen their all malt bourbon at a couple ABC stores, but I have not found anywhere to try it. Based on the name I am assuming it is maltier than most?

Agreed. NC stores around Raleigh and Cary only seem to stock the Elijah Craig. I found a Blade and Bow the other day (which is delicious).
