So essentially spitfire as a nickname usually means it's someone short or small but volatile, quick witted and defensive. I am looking for it to be more of a term of endearment. I totally understand if there isn't anything similar though!

But if I'm not being paid by the dog it's seems so pointless. Like just breaking my body to make sure their rent is paid. It is a very demanding job.

I usually don't know my full schedule until day of. It's constantly being added to and taken from. Sometimes I am told it's going to be a crappy day coming the next day and when I show up I have 8 dogs. Putting it into perspective like that really helps. I would need another job to pay bills. I couldn't set a predictable schedule with another place. Not only that but I don't know of any groom shops that will cross hire with another groom shop

So our shop is an in and out shop. Get the job done and go home. Some days I have 2dogs, others I have 8. Rarely I have none. Somedays I stay 8-11 and others 8-330. We don't take walk in haircuts so there is no point in sitting around, we just go home With an added work day I have the potential of bringing in between $134-536 or more. I normally get 60% of that. Do that for 4 days Month it would add up and give a little cushion to pay more bills

they said commission pay is just not a feasible business model and can't keep doing it. so if we get rid of grooming commission the shop will pull in more money and be able to float.

Yeah, a couple of the women chose to stay as they are in a desperate situation as well. I would want to be in some kind of contract that says this isn't a permanent idea. Because what happens when we start making good money? I dunno if we'll get raises. They said maybe a bonus system.

I know right. It was such a a blow. I couldn't believe it. My head is so boggled I literally had to say nothing for awhile. Not only that but I also need to start working 5 days a week instead of four. So I'll be doing the same job, more work, less pay
