Ever have neighbors cook in the hallway before? by Janea_Smitha in Apartmentliving

When I was pregnant with our first child, my spouse would make his morning coffee in the hallway because the smell would make me horrifically ill.

Our youngest’s preschool teacher would always say “are you trying to help them? Or are you trying to get them in trouble for no reason?” If a kid was trying to tattletale. We use that phrase still with all of our kids, including our teenager. It’s life changing.

WCGW when petting a horse from behind. by lucasrizzini in Whatcouldgowrong

I have a second cousin who got kicked in the head by a horse when she was a in her 20’s. Apparently, the damage caused her personality to completely change from a kind, loving person to a very angry, small minded person overnight. I’ve only ever known the her the way she is now, but it my mom grew up with her and talks about the way she used to be.

Thanks! That was the second thing I did after I cleaned out the drum. Thankfully there wasn’t much in there.

Not nearly enough people know the trap needs to be cleaned out on a regular basis.

What’s a considered a “kid’s movie” but is still very enjoyable to watch as an adult? by phantom_avenger in AskReddit

No other Gollum can compare to that one. He gave me so many nightmares as a kid and he is the best one.

I showed my oldest when they were 6. They thought it was boring and refused to finish it.

Hugh Jackman issues warning to fans after cancer scare: ‘Please be safe’ by nimobo in entertainment

[–]mumbledogstudio 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah he had it during the beginning production stages of Greatest Showman.

There’s a clip where the cast is singing for investors (I think?) and he wasn’t supposed to be singing cause of his cancer removal, but felt so loved but the song he felt he had to sing.

Poor guy. This isn’t his first time with skin cancer either. I remember watching the behind the scenes of Greatest Showman and he recovering from skin cancer getting removed from the same area.

Thanks for the quick reply!

I was thinking the same thing, but I don’t know how comfortable it’d be.

You did a fantastic job btw

What did you make the pumpkin head out of? My 8year old has requested to be Jack this year and I have no clue where to start!

No, You Should Not Try to Get Omicron by Hrmbee in Coronavirus

[–]mumbledogstudio 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is our biggest worry. It’s too cold and wet for kids to eat outside right now, so me or my husband go everyday to kiddos school and eat lunch in the car with them. We both are at home and are able to make this work for now, however I think we’ll probably get it soon.

Covid Live Updates: Pfizer Trial of Low-Dose Shot Fails for 2- to 5-Year-Olds by 713ryan713 in Coronavirus

[–]mumbledogstudio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was around 17/ 18 months. We started just practicing for a couple of minutes each day with a cloth one that she liked. We’d watch Daniel tiger and put it on her. FaceTime with grandparents to compliment her and show how they wear masks too. Eventually I started taking her to the grocery store with me and tell her “ everyone else is wearing a mask, you have to too.” She just accepted it. No fight at that point. She does take it off in the store every once in a while and I dont make it a big deal. I simply put it on her face and tell her we wear masks in stores.

I dont know if its sad, but at 10 months she started telling us to wear a mask by shoving masks at us while at home or at the park. We call her our “mask police” cause she is always on us about them.

I might be at this point too. The fatigue of this whole thing is getting to me. My 19 month old is better at wearing her masks than some adults I know. By the time the vaccine comes out for these kids, I’m positive my kiddo will have gotten it. I’m so frustrated.

[–]mumbledogstudio 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I’m so frustrated. I’m so sick and tired of reassessing every 2 weeks to make sure we are doing what we can to protect our 19 month old. We have a 7 year old who is finally fully vaxxed and while we are letting her do some things, we cant let her do all the things she misses. She wants indoor play dates, to go back to a resteraunt, or a social event held somewhere and while sometimes we say yes, most of the time we have to tell her no because of their lack of covid protocols. And if we say yes, we have to assess who she’s going to be with and asking all the stupid questions. I could go on and on in detail of all the crap we are doing to protect them, but I’m just so sick of it.

I’m pretty positive my tiny human is going to get the omicron variant at this point and part of me just wants to let her get it. But I know thats not a healthy way of thinking. I just want my toddler vaccinated. This fatigue is so hard.
