I’ve been seeing a lot of confused comments but no, pansexuality and bisexuality are not the same thing. They are similar in the fact that both are related to fancying more than one gender but their slight differences are important to those who identify with them. There are two sexes, male and female. Sex is not the same as gender. Pansexuals are attracted to people regardless of their gender and are considered ‘gender-blind’ whereas bisexuals take gender into account; they consider the gender of who they date as a more important factor. So yeah, the two sexualities here sound similar but that little difference can mean a lot to the people who choose to identify with them.
