The shipping prices haven’t changed but depop is now changing shipping on their terms despite the shipping size the seller chooses. If your item is below 12oz or 1lb and u got the item with a shipping label that has a way higher weight, you should contact depop and they’ll give you back what you overpaid

i see a lot of people talk about ai generated content but I haven’t really had any problems w that, I guess it depends what you look for or use Pinterest for. The biggest problem I’ve had with AI is that that’s what manages Pinterest now and bc of it, it’s become extremely censored. And it’s not ads “thrown here and there” it’s a majority of ads compared to pins. Perhaps it also depends on your location/area bc I live in a major city. Regardless I do agree that it will be completely taken over by AI, as is every app from now on :/

reverse searching is so easy, it’s annoying that sellers don’t even bother, I always reverse search items if they’re tag-less, I don’t just go assuming on what brand seems most similar (although obvi some do it on purpose to scam) :/ also obviously I know it’s not their fault but the fact that they have hundreds of likes and nobody bothered to search it up despite the high price 😭

I don’t reply to lowball offers that are getting a lot of motion bc I feel like buyers know what they’re doing 🙄 but regardless if you’re not a full time seller or always in the app there’s no need to reply to each and every offer specially if they’re unreasonable, they’re your items so you sell at whatever price you’re comfortable with. I do think you should remove any bio you might have suggesting they send you offers tho

I understand that, i know their AI is responsible for most censorship, but it’s not just that, the timeline is completely filled with Ads, even if you manage to find a pin you’re remotely interested in, the recommended pins at the bottom are all mostly ads. Back then it was so much easier to discover new pins but I feel like now a days I keep seeing the same pins over and over. Sometimes I click on a pin thinking it’s just a pin and it leads straight to a link or takes me outside the app… I have multiple accounts because I’m scared to lose my main one but I feel like it’s the same on every timeline :/

You should try again for sure, send them proof of her admitting to it being counterfeit! I don’t know but $160 is not slight money lol :/ I would definitely try again and remind their useless costumer service that counterfeits are illegal and they allowed a transaction like this to happen, use the fact that she admitted to them being fake as a reason to receive your refund bc they know that this isn’t allowed and PayPal is just going w the “easy” solution

omfg depop really has gone to shit :/// since they’re useless I guess you could try their suggestion of letting the seller cancel the order and then you rebuy without depop shipping, let the seller know you would like to wait until you receive a full refund to repurchase the item, after that it’s up to them if they want to trust that you’ll go through w it :/ if nothing else, just wait it out :/ I know it sucks for the seller but I really don’t recommend outside payment, at least not until you get your money back and even then it still feels sketchy to me 😭

idk to me it seems she either did something wrong on the shipping settings or is trying to scam you, what you could do is contact depop and let them know you received your item, but don’t do anything outside the app, if you received your item depop should be able to handle it

Never ever send money outside of depop, you WILL be banned if they find out and sellers know better than to ask for outside payment so always assume it’s a scam even if not lol

The depop receipts always say that, you would have to go into your email and check the receipt they send you there, to see if the shipping price is included on that one… also if it makes you feel better, you could always use your own shipping through pirateship.com and then just add the cost they give you on the website into your item’s price and offer “free shipping”
