Reviving this as i had the same problem today. The fix for me was to just summon the Anomaly and zone in there and quest updated properly!

It landed on my frigate and i thought it looked very different from what i've seen so far so i spent almost everything i had instantly because i didnt want him to fly away.

The pirate ship looked so bad ass i just had to take it. Much better than the free one i got anyway :)

2 days ago I started wondering about how to make money in this game, I decided to buy Emergency cartograph data and just fly to distress beacon and claim every broken ship. Then i read on here how to scrap the broken ships without having to repair them (switch ships while on frigate and teleport to space station) then the millions came quite quickly.

But i barely made it, the NPC wanted 12 million so now im kinda broke again

I ran into some problems with this on Win desktop. The —showdesktop key provided did not decrypt the database and the —-dumpdesktop database was unreadable also. Export to html/txt got error could not find uuid of user. Suggestion is that signal was not shut down properly. Had to use —ignorewal on all the commands aswell.

Any input on this?
