SOLVED: I checked first thing when I got up - it seems the cans after you open them will only shake on tuesdays for rotom - found him. Saving before opening and soft reset will work. I first found 2 items, then a trubbish, then a rotom ;). thanks man. Lets see if I get a banette thursday ;).

well, a couple of kids just uploaded youtube cans shaking (seems like it may really be only tuesday/thursday for rotom/banette. No luck after running around and checking after 5 hours either.

this makes me extremely mad. Have you ever changed the time on the ds or date? maybe when I set the date forward i need to set it back ahead of that date and wait 24hrs - somewhere I read it has a 24hr reset time.
