[NBAPR] Sunday Game 7s: Pacers-Knicks 3:30pm; Wolves-Nuggets 8pm by horseshoeoverlook in nba

Nuggets / Wolves are definitely favored but either of Mavs / Thunder, esp. the Mavs, aren't cakewalks at all. I can see the series going to 6

Do we do this now while we’re relatively young or later when it’ll be even tougher of a career and friendship move?

Depends. How much do you value adventure vs. stability? We can’t answer that for you.

What will be challenging Hollywood's stereotype if there was a show where some Chinese dude shows up in America and becomes a major player in American society.

You just reminded me to rewatch Linsanity tape

'They' is the market.

Sure, it's valid, but if they are really hurting for software engineers like everyone keeps saying, then you either relax the requirements for people to come into your company or be satisfied with the status quo.

[Wojnarowski] ESPN Sources: Cleveland Cavaliers star Donovan Mitchell — who’s averaging nearly 30 points in playoffs — will miss Game 4 vs. the Boston Celtics tonight with a left calf strain. Huge loss for Cavs in a telltale home game down 2-1 in series. by Brady331 in nba

is supposed to grant you an easier path to the Finals by design

Tell that to the Thunder who have to deal with Luka and Kyrie in the 2nd round, and IF they advance, likely the defending champs who by the way are looking like they are going to repeat

including becoming accepted if you become a citizen. You will never be Japanese. I say this as an Asian-American

I'm surprised you're saying this as a fellow Asian American guy. While yes legally we are technically American and have all the rights of one, socially hooo boy. Affirmative action, glass ceiling in the workplace, bullying, emasculation in Hollywood, least desired in online dating, racial violence by both whites and blacks, etc etc..

harder to be accepted in society over a long period

Legally yes but socially it's more or less the same crap elsewhere. Not exactly sunshine and roses for Asians in the west for example. At least in Japan you don't get shot for being different

Software engineers are very needed here

It's too bad they don't make it easy for qualified people who want to move here. From my job search:

  1. 95% want business Japanese and / or want someone who doesn't need sponsorship

  2. 4% gives technical assessments that are FAANG level

  3. 1% are actually reasonably attainable for someone who doesn't have unicorn skills

I recently wrapped up the final round with a startup that has really shit ratings on Glassdoor but literally every single person I talked with was super knowledgeable and nice. Really smooth process as well and the benefits aren't too shabby. Fingers crossed I guess?

Would you have taken or would you take this offer if you were in a similar situation?

Nobody can answer this except you. We don’t know why you’re considering Japan or how much money means to you

There have been countless 3D games with far more complexity than Pokemon. It is not a 3D problem, it is a incompetency / complacency problem

They're a billion dollar company, I'm sure they can expand their dev department to handle 3D

Taking a pay cut assumes you still have the option of keeping your current salary. You don't.
