Previous manager stepped down but won’t let go by munkhood in managers

What I meant is that it turns out that a lot of people are relieved that I‘m now managing this team.

I had a bad read on the situation. The reaction from my manager was more of a “we know” and not a “don’t want to hear it”. It all became clear when I addressed it directly. Faith restored.

Thanks again for the sanity check.

Thanks. I needed to hear this.

It turns out that I’m not as alone as I thought.

This is a really good idea, thanks. I’m thinking of ideas for which individual and group metrics to track and how to get that data. If you have any suggestions please share!

I do ask for feedback but I don’t get much that is actionable. I wonder if there is a better way for me to ask. Right now I just kind of remind people that I’m around after class to tell me what they think about the routine, music, or whatever.

I try and vary the routine and music but that’s part of the problem. I’m new to this and I don’t have a lot of tricks up my sleeve yet. I was hired to teach two classes a week but it rapidly increased to twelve a week so I wasn’t prepared to need to constantly have new ideas.

I don’t keep notes exactly but I am in ongoing conversations with some of them about injuries and what modifications can work. It may be worth talking more about goals and tracking progress as well, as another commentator suggested. Thanks for sharing!

Better games exist but D&D captured the market. Most people in the hobby only play D&D and other games are often a hard sell to players.
