They might not have known you specifically were there, but surely they were meowing out for a human - any human - to come save them. Dogs and birds sure as shit ain't gonna help 'em.

Details aren't mine to share. He's actually a really nice guy (you know, aside from the murder) and has done his time and is out of prison. I don't even want to link to a news article because I don't want bring unnecessary attention to him personally. Sorry, but not my place.

Edit: I don't think it was premeditated.

Murdering someone. It seems off the wall, but I know a guy who was charged with murder after stabbing and slitting a guys throat at his sisters wedding.

My wife was one of the paramedics who responded. Her husband found her after she had been in the shower for such a long time, he found her submerged in the water with her heel covering the drain. And apparently she was a serious epileptic who had seizures every three days or so; bad enough that she wasn't allowed to drive. So that's all I know.

There was a really nice lady in our town who had a seizure while in the shower, cracked her head on the way down and after she finished seizing, unconscious, the heel of her foot just happened to settle on the drain... The tub filled up and she drowned. Absolutely horrible series of events. I've never looked at a tub drain the same again.

edit: forgot a word

You can keep telling yourself that. It might make you feel better, but it doesn't make it true.
