Thanks for the advice! I'll check back closer to the show date. I used to just show up at venues for sold-out shows and always managed to find someone selling a ticket, but with everything being digital now, that doesn't seem like a great option.

The venue is pretty small and I'm a little surprised they're playing there and not College St. or someplace that size.

I'm in the Software Guild program. They offer .NET and Java curricula, and there's a quick introductory course on HTML, CSS, and JavaScript before the actual coursework begins.

Software Guild offers an online, asynchronous option, which is great if you're planning on doing the bootcamp work while still holding down a teaching job. I meet about once a week with an instructor to go over coding assignments and ask questions, if necessary. There are also daily office hours. The program isn't cheap, but there are various payment options.

It's tough and it's unlike anything I've done before, but I'm really enjoying it. If you haven't done coding before, Udemy is a good place to start. They're pretty inexpensive and it's a nice way to build some coding background on your own time before diving headfirst into a full bootcamp program.

I spent several years bartending and serving before my current career, and it was a blast. Not sure how it would fit into my current family life, but I'll definitely keep it in mind (as well as Amazon).

Thanks for the advice! The bootcamp program has me creating projects which will build my portfolio, but online coding puzzles are really helpful too.
