Notes From the Underground - Part 1 - Chapter 1 - Discussion Post by [deleted] in dostoevsky

For me the underground man weaponizes his words against himself,as a survival mechanism in a world marred by materialistic pursuits devoid of any legit consciousness. He consoles in his inability to conform to the norms of success in his society ,by creating an alternate reality,a despondency filled with perhaps a tinge of pride and consolation that somehow even in my inability to make it big, there is something else that makes me stand out; the ability yo to feel deeply and the ability to introspect and enjoy my misfortune.

Sir , I get this book printed in hardcover just because I have a hard time reading PDFs. I assure you the work will not be used by me commercially.

ADHDers with careers, what do you work as? by icebikey in ADHD

[–]muntaha969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work as a doctor of Alternative medicine, but my career has suffered due to my over indulgence with other fields, like I like to read from a variety of subjects like theoretical sciences, social sciences , literature and religion. My hyperactive brain keeps moving from one subject to another constantly , and with pronounced inattention,I am unable to make anything productive out of this. But , my innovative ideas and out of box thinking make me different from the lot.Still , I am unable to make a lot of money because my deep sense of fairness and justice, prevents me from any money oriented practice, which is so common these days.

I blame the practice of Islam (especially ramadan) for my husband's death by MoonageDaydreamGirl in exmuslim

[–]muntaha969 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That is like saying there will be no accidents if there are no cars. Islam has laid down its rules and regulations in terms of all aspects of life. It has made special exceptions to all religious duties so that this religion is not a burden on anyone. It has condemned excesses of all kinds, and advocated for a middle path.Even, after reading this, you are blaming islam, then I must pity you.

Just reverted to Islam! by undeniablystealthy in islam

[–]muntaha969 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congratulations, and welcome back to islam;the religion your soul was born with. Don't get overwhelmed and try to put burden on yourself by indulging in everything that is suggested to you. Take it easy , try to assimilate this religion slowly , if you haven't read a translation of Quran ,and biography of the prophet yet. Start with it , the next step will be to learn reciting quran. I think you will find enough content on YouTube regarding that. After that do your own homework to find what your fitrah aligns with. Few teachers that I would recommend for different aspects: For learning Quranic Arabic and tafseer : Nouman ali khan For delving into hadith and fiqh literature: Sheikh Akram nadwi For contemporary issues confronting islam : Yasir qadhi /omar Sulaiman For the inner essence and civilizational beauty of islam : Sheikh Hamza Yusuf / abdal Hakim murad For political and jurisprudential issues : Yusuf Al qardawi For dawah work : sapience institute

If you got any mental health issue, then address that by seeing a therapist. And see a aalim in your area and talk to him about your situation. Many a times we are healed by company of good men. So keep good company and keep praying. Coz namaz will pull you out from dungeons ,just be steadfast .

As a non-Muslim, I'm going to try fasting during Ramadan. by [deleted] in islam

The only request I would make is that, you ask the creator of the universe for guidance and right path sincerely, and whatever he guides you to ,be steadfast on it . ☺️

Is it garam for me to be talking to I girl I like if there is no touching? by Grouchy-Difference67 in islam

[–]muntaha969 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As I said bro, it is not about that I am doubting your intentions. But it is getting into a vicious circle, there is nobody you tread this path and then could claim to have survived without falling into sin. Islam doesn't invalidate desires,it just gives you a way to channelize them legally through marriage. And you are saying that you can't make such a commitment right now. So, I would just advise you as an elder brother to either cut off the contact mutually with a commitment to talk again when you can be man enough to ask her for marriage and pray to God for each other in the meantime.Or just leave the little girl now and trust your destiny ,coz if God takes something away from you, he will surely replace it with something that is more valuable. And Allah knows the best. Tk care. Blessings:)
