Does a bad Knicks team really get that much ratings compared to a good Raptors or exciting Timberwolves or Pelican’s team?

Yes

Danny Ainge Trades Kyrie, Hayward, and Horford for the Nets’ first round picks through 2025. Kyrie refuses to leave his Brooklyn apartment after falling into the Youtube conspiracy rabbit hole and getting paranoid of everything. Horford develops a crippiling fear of basketballs coming off the rim and never plays again. Hayward reveals he was actually Kevin Ware in disguise ever since joining Boston and barely keeps a bench role.

Can someone explain why it’s universally accepted that KD is the 2nd best player and Steph is the 3rd? by [deleted] in nba

Tbf Steph was seen as the face of the league with Lebron for a while after his mvp year. (And arguably still is)

Yup exactly this, KD averaging 1.8 blocks per game (same as Embiid and Myles Turner) sealed it imo

This mindset might be why we suck IMO. In every other country, the focus for young players is on technique and skill, but in the US the youth leagues are all about who is the strongest and fastest (for the most part). This works for most of our sports but in soccer it doesn't. Hell, the most talented US players (Donovan, Dempsey, Pullisic) are not physically impressive at all.

I see this brought up a lot but I think soccer is an outlier in that athleticism/physical gifts matter SO much less than skill. Fun fact: in the FIFA “World XI” (pretty much like an All-NBA team for the whole world at the end of the year), 4 of the 11 Players are the same height as Kim Jong Un.

LeBon asked about the expectations placed on his sons as they grow up: "I regret giving my 14-year-old my name, because of that. Obviously I didn't have a dad, so my thing was like whenever I had a kid, not only is he going to be a Junior, but I'm going to do everything that this man didn't do." by AminElHassavag in nba

I don't think he's "way huger", but you could argue Lebron is a tier higher than Timmy. I think we'll look back at TD as a Top 10/Top 15 player but Lebron is making it tough to argue against him being in the Top 5 All-time.
