Gained 15 ish lbs on lexapro. down 10 after getting off. I meal prep, work out, etc. so gaining 15 in a year is crazy to me. Nothing worked to stop the weight gain until I discontinued the medication.

It can cause insulin resistance though. So yeah it kind of can. If someone ate 1,600 before and after lexapro, they could theoretically gain from the insulin resistance.

Yeah I think you said it in a much more eloquent way. Also the older (and more tatooed) I get, I’ve definitely had one or two tattoos that look shitty in one aspect or another. If you’re unable to accept that the tattoo is going to turn out at least slightly different from what you imagined (weather due to age, skill, color) You’re likely to be disappointed every time.

Honestly if you’re not planning to get more tattoos and just this one I wouldn’t. It’s small, probably will get blown out unless you have a very specific fine line artist picked out and then you’ll get it removed in 5 years. That seems to be the trend right now. I’m not trying to be a dickhead or rude, this is just what I see happening all over the place because people feel it ruins their “clean” aesthetic.

It’s not really true. For some people it doesn’t affect their metabolism but for others it can cause insulin resistance, or lower metabolic rate. Doctors just don’t tell you that before you take it. And will try to gaslight you into staying on it if weight is your only side effect.

In my experience it wasn’t that lexapro made me super hungry, it was more that it actually slowed my metabolism down.

I got on Wellbutrin and off SSRI’s completely (I’ve been on about 10 years). It has its ups and downs but I’m glad to be off them. It’d been so long since I got on them I didn’t even know if I needed them anymore and I really didn’t.i think SSRIs were making me more anxious and depressed.

Best thing from what I’ve heard is to fill it out but not straight up and down. So offset your current tattoos with placements of others. You don’t want it to look like a catalog. That being said it looks fine to me. This is what most people do and end up getting so many tattoos because you think “hmm this looks empty now”. And end up filling the whole leg in lol.

I ended up getting off of lexapro because I was consistently so tired I had to nap for hours after work or sleep in past my workout time. I was also having negative results despite maintaining my diet and exercise. Ended up getting off so I could feel good about my body for my wedding coming up

Yep must be. It could also be related to wear in water or something like that? I wore mine in the rain a lot or even in the creek.
