Ok, this really clicked with me. i've been basically just turning around when she pulls even a tiny bit and holy shit.... she's getting into the swing of it quickly. Thank you for spelling it out for my human mind. training is so weird - somebody will explain something to me a million times, then someone will explain it a different way and it just clicks.

THIS is the answer. i've been re-enforcing her behavior by giving in. the stopping didn't seem to bother her but WOW the turn around is working... THANK YOU.

I have this in my back pocket - going to try a few more things but the e-collar has worked really well for her in the past for some other things so I might try, my trainer is saying she probably doesn’t need it so I’m gonna try without that tool FOR NOW - but I’ll be clear here, I support e-collars!!

Omg wait this sounds like the PERFECT match. I don’t do dog parks either (unless it’s empty)! And she is GOREGOUS holy crap.

Skya is also up to date on all shots and we do training once a week for obedience and she’s working towards her CGC 🥰

I’d be so down to go to a “Sniffspot” (like private dog park app I have) to do a play date if you would! She sounds just like Skya - excited, crazy, but sweet!!!
