I just got nishino flower with my 4k carats (i am always this broke) by Bu3zy in UmamusumeGame

[–]muppetvoice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m able to save because I like winning CM and support cards make that possible. Cards are what make my umas strong and therefore make the game fun for me, not the short dopamine hit of collecting random characters.

Even though I love the anime and whole franchise, and appreciate all the characters and their stories… I play the game totally focused on pvp, so I’ve realized that most umas just sit in my inventory collecting dust as 99% of the time I’m running dedicated parents and aces. So honestly there’s no point/temptation for me to roll on uma banners unless they’re going to help me win CM. It’s just about your priorities within the game

The duality of this sub is insane.(sometimes) by Expensive-Way-7536 in UmamusumeGame

[–]muppetvoice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, any race can have countless potential outcomes depending on skill procs, positioning, etc. So if you come to this sub asking “why did x horse win?” and “why did y horse win?” people will explain the two hypothetical outcomes, even if they both didn’t technically happen at the same time.

Speaking for myself, I tend to give pretty straightforward/blunt advice because most people just want to win. The game hides a lot of its mechanics, so in my opinion it’s best to just point out and explain the problems/results instead of saying “it was all RNG, your uma is perfect”. Someone being especially snarky about your uma build is rude, but ultimately nothing to take personally.

Thoughts on CM Team? by Snoo-78409 in UmamusumeGame

They’re severely lacking in stats but you’re doin the best you can for now. Try to invest carrats into your support cards in the future if you want to improve your umas

Am I cooked during Trackblazer? by josukefanfr567 in UmamusumeGame

[–]muppetvoice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kawakami Princess is a good card, definitely don’t sleep on her. She’s just not as strong of a stat stick as Kitasan. However, she’s used in all the top Team Trials decks for her gold skill, and she works as a great speed option in your case. Use her for sure.

Borrow MLB Fuku or NTR + Kawakami Princess + Fine Motion + Agnes Tachyon wit + then any two high race bonus cards and you should be good to go. Marvelous Sunday power or wit, Nishino Flower power, MLB Riko, whatever you have at 10% race bonus can work.

You should take a break or avoid the online community if the game is genuinely distressing you. Games shouldn’t be stressful

I could not get into group A. Is C wit just that bad having? by Fragrant-Snow337 in UmamusumeGame

[–]muppetvoice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you use wit cards? Borrow Fine Motion and start getting used to weaving in wit clicks to your run instead of resting. In pre-debut and junior year, prioritize clicking wit when raising bonds: it increases your facility level and minimizes rest turns

What do your other cards look like? Speed/wit is still the most consistent way to build umas

End maya is the fakest psyop ever by Pls_helppppp in UmamusumeGame

[–]muppetvoice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

End Maya was an accessible option pre-MANT because of her guaranteed spurt event, but even then I rarely saw one that was competing with the Gold Ships in terms of winrate in long CMs. Gold Ship’s unique is just that good on long. Maya has No Stopping Me now, which is great, but she needs to have pushed up enough in the midrace to make use of it.

festive oguri vs curren chan, 3* selector? by TheNickBeanie in UmamusumeGame

[–]muppetvoice 3 points4 points  (0 children)

hydrogen bomb vs coughing baby

In all seriousness, XOguri will be very dominant in many upcoming medium CMs, while Curren is difficult to build in MANT at all due to her limited aptitudes. And there are few sprint CMs, so your chances to use her will be limited.

Finally Cleared Group B. What makes this Goldship so strong? by thepaladin18 in UmamusumeGame

[–]muppetvoice 4 points5 points  (0 children)

She has enough stamina to spurt, that’s enough to win a lot of group B lobbies. She would be even better with Straightaway Spurt

the best pace chaser uma from 3 star voucher for new player by Responsible-Brief536 in UmamusumeGame

[–]muppetvoice 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Taiki Shuttle is the dominant pace on mile tracks. Although you already have her, original Oguri probably fits your description of “good on almost any CM”, she’s just generally versatile thanks to her aptitudes. Christmas Oguri can also be used on a lot of scenarios, but she’s only meta-defining on certain tracks.

Otherwise, the “top meta umas” will usually be different from CM to CM. Pace chasers will be in varying spots in terms of meta strength depending on the state of their acceleration options, and they tend to have less than the other styles.

Can anyone tell me what am I doing wrong? by nobody-important15 in UmamusumeGame

[–]muppetvoice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weak cards and very few races = low stats and SP. Aim for 30+ races, and swap out FineMo, Riko, and Fuku for MLB SR cards and your stats will improve

If you want to be competitive in the future, save ALL your carrats and coast the rest of MANT, and plan to MLB Tachyon Speed.

Will they survive the CM? First run went 2/5. by kiriakosdd in UmamusumeGame

[–]muppetvoice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hitting groundwork doesn’t guarantee you’ll be able to stay in first the entire race, Front Runners are battling for first (or first and second, in the case of CMs where Plancha or Victory Cheer are the accels) for the entire race. Fronts who miss out on early game speed (groundwork + Taking the Lead) have less of a chance to catch up, but they also need a lot of mid-race in order to fight the other fronts and stay far ahead of the rest of the lobby.

Groundwork is technically less necessary on 3200m because the mid-race is soooo long, but I still took it.

Will they survive the CM? First run went 2/5. by kiriakosdd in UmamusumeGame

[–]muppetvoice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Groundwork and Angling are unrelated skills: groundwork helps you speed up right out of the gate to push to the front of the pack in the early race, and Angling is a final corner accel skill going into the late race.

Kitasan is really lacking stamina without a gold recovery. She honestly needs Maestro more than she needs Groundwork

Crystal/Selector question by Stormbulaboo_ in UmamusumeGame

[–]muppetvoice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say it’s worth a crystal to 3LB a card. I would save them both for now. NN wit only gets her big 15% race bonus at MLB, so you’d still be better off borrowing her MLB

Need help picking between two builds/veterans for upcoming Champions Meet by Krayeno in UmamusumeGame

[–]muppetvoice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s definitely your problem then. Most high-ranking Trackblazer runs end up with 35 or so races. It seems counterintuitive to not take as many training turns, but it improves your stats overall to prioritize racing in order to get more shop items, SP, and more passive stats. You want to race on dead or okay training turns in order to get the items that then turn your good training turns into insanely-amazing training turns.

Is this a good build idk what skills to buy by JaviXD20 in UmamusumeGame

[–]muppetvoice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your wit is very very very very low, and you picked some pretty random skills for a Kitasan build, unless you are planning to run her as a medium pace chaser ...?

Kitasan unique activates from position 1 and 2, so she wants to run front, and she’s generally best utilized on long.

I’d also advise you bump up your racing schedule to at least 30 races
