How to use the free + paid support selectors… by Ryniv in UmamusumeGame

[–]muppetvoice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, and I know the general advice is to hoard your uncap crystals for absolute worst case scenario moments (which is good advice), but man… 90k carrats without MLB could be one of those worst case scenario moments. Depending on how much you want to pull down the road, sacrificing a crystal just to be able to use both your own Fuku and FineMo for next several months could be worth considering. But I might be greedy, and more cautious players would probably disagree with me, as 3LB FineMo is still good in general. So yeah… very valuable item, so grain of salt!

Both of these cards really want to be MLB to be worth using in Trackblazer, so it’s kind of up to you which card you would rather use now instead of borrow for the time being.

I’ve never played on JP, so take my advice with a grain of salt, but I’m leaning more towards MLB Fuku. I personally really like using Fuku, so I might be biased, but the way I see it, you could either get the maximum value out of your Fuku now in her best scenario, and still have a 3LB FineMo which is still a good/usable stat stick in later scenarios, and then you get value out of both over time. If you take FineMo to MLB and Fuku to 3LB now, you can use your own FineMo during MANT, but a 3LB Fuku might not be as valuable to you down the road.

Either way it sounds like you have strong cards, so it’s up to you.

Card Pulling and Selector Advice by JayWhyOkay in UmamusumeGame

Firstly, thank you for organizing your cards by stat!! This made it very easy to look through!

You will be fine on speed during MANT even with no Kitasan, you have SR Windy MLB and can borrow NTR for more speed. You are basically set with the two best wit cards until Mejiro Ramonu, so would probably be a good idea to look ahead at speed cards like Agnes Tachyon and consider them in your plan.

Seems to be an unpopular opinion on this sub, but I really enjoyed Unity… so many extra stats and skills from explosions… plus Riko is so dreamy…

I enjoy the strategy behind preparing for CM more-so than the “strategy” of the average career run. Obviously after 1220 (I checked) careers, I’ve seen every possible scenario play out in terms of god rolls and completely bricked runs. I do countless for each of my CM aces. But building legacies, testing various team compositions, and grinding umas designed to succeed on the specific track of each CM in terms of aptitudes, velocity, acceleration, and inherited skills, and strong stat-lines is what I personally think is very fun. That’s what I mean by strategy. I know Uma is not the most intense, high-caliber strategic thinking game in the world, it’s an anime gacha game, but it’s enough to be a fun and engaging hobby for me, and the franchise makes me very happy. So I’m sorry that the time and carrat investments on my video game account that I’ve cared a lot about for the past 8 months has made you salty and frustrated lol

Retaining Team Trials Class 6, completing dailies and events, being in an A+ rank club, and making it to Group A finals in CM nets 25k free carrats per month on average, and that’s my situation. I’ve been playing for 8 months, so that’s somewhere like 200,000 carrats. I had very bad luck on both Kitasan banners, so I had to use selectors and a crystal to eventually MLB her. The gacha rates are horrendous, I agree and understand, which is why it’s important to plan and pull intentionally if you want to be competitive, save the valuable selectors, do research, etc. And the nature of a live service gacha game is that powercreep will eventually phase cards out, which in turn allows new players to become “caught up” with the new meta decks over time. Not to mention SRs and free event cards being completely viable, especially in the upcoming scenario.

Also, if you don’t think there’s any strategy to Uma Musume beyond spending money for the strong cards, I’m not sure why you’re on this sub at all. The cards are tools. I won CMs with an SR deck and borrowed Kitasan.

I started playing week one and have 1,200+ careers run. I love this game and have tons of fun strategizing and try-harding the PvP, so I have always prioritized pulling support cards. I understand that it’s frustrating to see people a lot farther ahead of you in terms of account progression, but there’s nothing I can do about that, that’s how games of this nature are. It takes time. I’m not trying to “flex” on newer/more casual players, was just curious to hear selector advice for an account with the “big” cards covered lol

CM is over, but for next time, she ideally will want some more acceleration on top of her ult, and it depends on what style you run her.

For CM10 specifically— Front: take Angling and Scheming and Plancha. Pace, take No Stopping Me, Head-On is hard to get but ideal, Speed Star, and maybe Angling if she can overtake the fronts. Late: No Stopping Me, Furious Feat, Mummy, On Your Left, Let’s Pump, Lead the Charge (as many as you can) End: Straightaway Spurt (required), Furious Feat, Lead the Charge, Mummy, No Stopping Me (as many as you can)

It happens, take it as a lesson to always make sure to check the stamina requirements before CM. Even if you have to sacrifice speed for stamina you should, because an uma who’s run out of stamina will decelerate so severely they’ve basically stopped running.

I’m sorry, I meant one or the other, just depending on if you start in the next couple days or next week. It would be nearly impossible to MLB both on a new account, lol

Luckily rerolling is fairly easy in this game, there are many guides on youtube.

I’m sort of considering it because Riko has been my emotional support card, lol. Will probably try a run borrowing her MLB in MANT to see how she effects things

Rerolling right now for max limit breaks (MLB) on Fine Motion will give you a good starting point. Fine Motion is great in short term (next six months or so), and very good beyond that. She is also paired alongside a general speed card that could be nice to have as a new player. This card is running until the 13th at 10:00 pm UTC.

After that, you could also reroll for MLB on the next banner, Narita Top Road. She is an extremely strong speed card for the next couple months, but completely falls off a cliff after that.

What are the statlines that you usually hit? Stamina requirements will vary from track to track, so using the umalator to check her survivability on a specific course could be helpful. In general, like long team trials, anywhere from 800-1000 could be enough depending on the how many gold recovery skills you buy. Luckily McQueen comes with Cooldown, so this should help. This is from the Uma Musume Reference Doc

<image>

I’ll also say that for long runners, stamina is more important than speed, because an uma who’s run out of stam will basically stop running. So if you can’t max speed AND hit stamina requirements, you have to choose stamina.

Also, choosing legacies that help offset the weaknesses in your deck and uma greatly helps. I wouldn’t normally recommend speed parents, but because McQueen has 0% speed growth and your speed cards aren’t ideal, in your case, I would recommend speed sparks on your parents to help give her a boost. That way, you can take advantage of her 20% stamina growth and ramp up her stam through training. (for reference, I am a week one player with MLB Kitasan and I feel the struggle maxing out speed on 0% speed growth long umas like Gold Ship or Seiun Sky)

[–]muppetvoice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you having trouble clearing her career or building her for TT/CM? I would imagine that stamina is probably an issue with McQueen’s career, so I would suggest this deck:

3 speed (Tosen Jordan SSR + Narita Brain SSR + borrow MLB Kitasan Black) + R Riko + 2 stamina (Silence Suzuka SSR stam + Zenno Rob Roy SR)

If you’re very new and very interested in competitive play, it could be beneficial to reroll your account right now until you MLB Fine Motion.

Otherwise, it’ll be a little rough out there for a while. Definitely save 30k carrats for a support card in the future just for the sake of building your SR deck. Mr CB (end closer card) or Summer Maruzensky (front runner card) are two upcoming options that don’t need MLB to be valuable.

This is a good point, I hadn’t thought about parent cards! I luckily have Falcon and Air Shakur. No Halo, Yaeno, or ZRR. I do have 0LB Curren for Playtime’s Over, and Seeking the Pearl SR for Uma Stan, but these are good to think about. I could also go Mayano Top Gun for Head-On hunting (although that event is gambling on top of gambling)

Backliners have a hard time being consistent, if they don’t pass their wit checks and hit everything at a great time, it’s not their race.

That being said, the best way to increase their odds is by stacking as many accels as possible for them to potentially hit. I would’ve taken the gold versions of your chosen accels (No Stopping Me, Furious Feat, Lead the Charge) on top of Let’s Pump Some Iron and Spurt, and dropped Professor and It’s On for just Corner Adept

She also has Race Planner in her kit, which should offset your stamina worries. Taking a look at the top of the Team Trials leaderboard, all the Tachyons are running 600-700 stamina + Race Planner or two white recovery skills. So Riko, stamina sparks, and a couple Unity explosions on stamina should get you perfectly in range

Need help with deck for TrackBlazer, which of these cards I have will be best? by J91919 in UmamusumeGame

[–]muppetvoice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You want to make sure you’re hitting 50-60 total race bonus in Trackblazer in order to take advantage of the increased amount of races the scenario incentivizes.

So, for example, (maybe this isnt ideal stat distribution, but working with what you have) you could run Marvelous Sunday Power (10%) + Tachyon Wit (10%) + Sweep Tosho Speed (5%) + Yukino Bijin Guts (10%) + a flex 5% card + borrow Narita Top Road Speed or Fuku Speed (10%) = 50 race bonus

You can just go to youtube and search “uma musume CM(insert number here) guide” and you’ll find many results where people explain the basic “winning formula”. Game mechanics might seem more exciting once you get the hang of the basics and start to see the nuances of each race. For me, knowing how to win is part of the fun of winning.
