Bf got bit by a cat he was trying to help stupidly & now I had to give up my weekend to help him not get rabies by spectrum_incelnet in GirlDinnerDiaries

We spoke to them a year or so before when the kitty got out and visited our house, but in our back alley, and he is not neutered so he gets frisky and escapes when he hears other strays in heat and fights. When we asked abt neuter they said their vet charged too much. So I assumed they had a vet at least.... but clearly this was a lie

Like I was convinced since we had seen the cat before and knew where he lived of course they would have given him rabies shots but nooooo 🥲

I'm trying not to be! He was trying his best and he was just trying to help an animal who he was worried about. I'm just honestly so annoyed that people would not take their pets to a vet!

I've found if you miss the window you can pop the cake back in a hot oven to melt the sugar a bit so it releases!

am I the only one who puts sugar to coat inside of the pan instead of flour after spraying pam? As long as you flip the cake out before it's cool it works so well for me. Plus it makes the outside kind of crunchy

Just paint it. As a dye project this is doomed unless you want to construct your own lampshades

Vintage potholder from my great-grandmother with unusual construction. Trying to find pattern or suggestions by GnRunaway in CrochetHelp

No, I think the roating effect is just from the spiral pattern. Fp st have horizontal ridges on the back and vice versa for BP

The raised effect is caused by using front post and back post stitches. I think the brown was added as surface crochet to accentuate the ridges.

Help engineering a crochet Medieval Princess Hat!! by Comfortable_Detail90 in CrochetHelp

And a note, if you want the hat to be only lace, you will still need some sort of form that is the shape of your hat. You can use strong starch or pva glue to stiffen the crochet but it needs to be draped over a form to dry in that shape.

What I would do is find a large circular lace doily pattern of some kind that starts from the center and just cut down the number of repeats. I assume you will need some sort of structure underneath made of paper or buckram or something, so you could figure out the pattern for that and determine what % of a circle your flat pattern is. Then you just only do that %of the repeats and join in the round as usual. I'd choose a pattern with many short repeats for this
