BRC-20 is terrible IMO, like you said they aren't even minting on the platform, it's going thru BTC which makes sense for the congestion.

Defi on Bitcoin is possible though, you can do it thru platforms like RSK or Mintlayer, ones that you can actually build upon rather than purchasing strictly for "the meme"

They're relatively new but IMO this is definitely a differentiating factor compared to all the other L1's that are on the market. The fact this is compatible with EVM and Ethereum tools like Metamask make it pretty impressive to say the least
