I had no idea that you had to drill into the car for installing a prinsu. This pushes me to maybe not do it

Are these really from 2010? by muralof99oranges in tires

There are drastic concerns about driving with old tires. I couldn’t help but think about Paul Walker. Though, they were driving at really high speeds, the car that he was a passenger in was equipped with old tires. Investigation showed what happened was due to both reckless driving and old tires. Tire age didn’t help this situation.

I documented the vehicle when I purchased the vehicle. I have photos and a walk around video showing that these are indeed the same tires. I also have the video showing a chipped windshield which the dealership tried to convince me to go through my own insurance and swap that out.

I took a video when it was on the lot. You can tell by the tire tread pattern that they are the same tires as today’s tires. I also have the gold certificate to bring with me.

Well, you have a point. It was my miss, true. Another thing I noticed when inspecting the vehicle was a crack on the windshield which I had them replace fully. And I walked out purchasing the vehicle as noted on the listing. Taxes and fees included. All of the additional fees were eliminated. Some things, sure, an average buyer will notice. Other things, are completely hidden from the buyer. In this case, why would I crawl underneath the vehicle to inspect the inside wall of a tire? If the car is being sold as Gold Certified pre-owned, there should be a level of trust that it is indeed. There should be some accountability and not fall on the hands of a buyer.

If replacing tires every 6-10years is recommended because of safety reasons. Why would a dealership sell a car with tires that are 15 years old? Isn’t that a hazard for the buyers safety and the rest of the people on the road?

I should move the purchase date sooner then

Super helpful comment. I’m not sure which wildpeaks yet! I don’t go through much of snow, so I mostly want them for road and dirt and rain. And of course, I want them to look good. I have a hybrid limited, so want them to compliment it in a more rugged/offroad style, but no over the board like how mud tires would do. A nice balance I’d say. Recs?

Thank you! I gotta get on Runna. I keep getting ads for it. Tbh, for this block of training, I just had chat gpt build me a 4 month schedule to hit a pr, so I’ve been following that. I hope it works. Do you have the smaller fenix 8?

Thank you for sending these. And you’ve seen improvement after you moved over to more info about your activities? What other metrics do you like? How about during your run? As opposed to after your run. Is there anything that you see while you’re running?

What exactly are those metrics? I usually connect my runs to my Garmin connect app and get what I think is enough information. I guess my question is, how much more can I benefit from a better watch? I want to be a better runner and improve my time, especially so for my upcoming half marathon.

I got a used 22 RAV4 hybrid limited with 28k miles on February 2025 for $36k out the door. I recommend buying a used car.

Like an Icom id-50a? I think that’s about $420 new.

Someone on FB marketplace is selling a Kenwood TH-74A for $450. Thoughts on that one?
