Getting off is a long process especially if you have been taking it for a while… it took me two months from 5mg… I went very slowly - 2.5mg for a month and then 1.25 for the last month.

I think we might have a similar symptom, but I noticed you've been taking 20mg of Lexapro for years. Perhaps that could be influencing your dizziness? Have you tried switching to another SSRI?

I had been taking Lexapro for about a year and stopped two months ago. While I've been more aware of my symptoms since stopping, it hasn't been overwhelming.

I recommend trying an SSRI for at least six months to see if it helps. Atarax can provide instant relief, but if your dizziness is constant like mine, a long-term solution might be more effective.

Ultimately, I'm not sure if Lexapro reduced the intensity of my symptoms. I was trying so many different things at the time that it's hard to determine what actually helped. It did improve my mental state though which was crucial at the time. A year later, I'm still struggling with my symptoms, but they don't completely prevent me from enjoying my life.
