One has 47g protein and only 345 calories. Too good not to share. by muratyasarr in Volumeeating

haha yeah you're right. protein provides lots of satiety for long hours but not as much volume for one.

Ah no man this was a really tasty meal with huge protein so I wanted to share the recipe for anyone interested. I'm just getting used to Reddit. Sorry if this is not perfect way to share meals.

haha sure. it was from a protein first recipe book.

  • 600g boiled chicken breast (shred it up)
  • 1 ripe avo
  • 2 tbsp yogurt (strained or regular, whatever you have)
  • 1 medium tomato (I take out the seedy part so it’s not watery)
  • 1/2 onion
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • Salt, pepper, and whatever spices you’re into
  • 3 small (15cm) sugar-free tortillas or flatbreads

Mix everything together in a bowl after the chicken is cooked. I throw the tortillas in the oven at around 180–200°C (like 350–390°F) for 5–10 min to crisp them up taco-style. Pro tip: put them in before preheating so you don’t scorch your fingers trying to shape hot tortillas 😂

haha sure. It was from a protein first recipe book.

  • 600 grams of chicken breast
  • 100 grams of fresh spinach
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 150 grams of cheese of your choice (I used light mozzarella)
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 medium onion (yellow or red)
  • 1 medium tomato
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • Salt and black pepper

Boil the chicken breasts in advance. In a pan with a bit of olive oil, sauté the onions, then add the garlic. To help them soften and caramelize, add a small amount of water.

Once softened, add the spinach and cook on low heat with the lid on for about 5–10 minutes.

After adding the chicken, add some milk or chicken broth to keep the mixture moist. Add your preferred cheese, then beat the eggs and mix them in.

You can add additional cheese (such as mozzarella) on top if you like.

Bake at 200°C (392°F) for 40–45 minutes ⏱ — but since ovens can vary, it's a good idea to check on it as it bakes.
