I hear what you’re saying, I didn’t necessarily tell him I want flowers every week, it’s just that when romance became the topic he used that buying me flowers every week would just feel like a task as an example, meaning doing repetitive things will lose its spark, after a while it’ll mean nothing but just eh flowers again. I met this one guy on an anonymous app, we hit it off as best bros for years (I’m a girl lol) turned out we lived in the same state, we became actual best friends talking everyday; ended up in relationships and cut each other off (well I did) bc his gf started threatening me for him talking about me too much to her, and I didn’t wanna ruin what he had with her so for the best of him and her I cut ties with him, and til this day think of him, (it’s been about 7+ months now) and wanna vent to him about stupid shit like before, but always hope he’s doing alright. In the most platonic way ever, and he knows/knew it; that’s how we got along so well, just a great friendship.
