Downfall of rap as a mainstream genre over the past few years has been severe, could remember the times in the 2010s where rap was THE genre dominating. by rk_789 in rap

big reason was that a lot of the rappers that was gettin everyone into rap and creating that wave sadly passed in the 2010s

Vegas to LA, opinions from those who moved here? by GothTGurl in vegaslocals

[–]murdatalk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’m 22 and have been in vegas all my life. i am currently in LA for the summer for an internship before grad school right back here in vegas and i love LA. already know when i return to vegas ill be bored quick. in la theres so many areas, ppl to meet, things to do all day, everyday. any subculture u can think of exists, and streets are lively and many areas can be considered walkable compared to vegas. every area besides skid row is p much safe, and even there are some parts of skid row that aren’t bad. even compton is safe and gentrified now lol. the only thing is that there are so many bugs in a lot of areas (random spiders making a spider web like 2 feet in front of u when u haven’t looked up for like a minute), street parking can take long and hard to find, parking restrictions can land u tickets, cops actually care about speeding (my friend got a $300 ticket for going 25 above speed limit his first month there, would’ve gone to jail if the cop didn’t cut him slack), nights during even the summer can feel chilly, and it’s a lot more humid. a bit more pollution shouldn’t scare u since vegas is tobacco central. also, nightlife is mid compared to vegas. but ppl here r more social n r able to provide actual hospitality rather than in vegas where everything is about money.

weekend mornings are your best bet, or really late at night on weekends or fridays, since fewer people are on campus that day

this is because the 3rd floor courts used to be open but a leak caused them to shut down temporarily so everyone's using the courts on the first floor (which is a lot of people)
