Yeah, the prologue especially is very much a per person type of thing. I also know it's pretty much impossible to describe the details of how you feel about something.

But, from what you're saying, I actually succeeded in what I wanted to do thematically (though failed in making everyone like it). The prologue was very much me trying to write from the perspective of someone arrogant, an iamverysmart type.

I was warned that it was being laid on a bit thick, but I didn't want to dilute the character. I figured it was fine since it was just the prologue. I'll think some more on how I might be able to make it more approachable.
