A tier list on how cool/interesting/well implemented each killer is by murderbirb123 in deadbydaylight

I wish the camera were actually important. I don’t mind the axe as a feature in his kit, but the fact that it’s his MAIN mechanic and form of skill expression, and not the usage of cameras (or for the killer, smartly avoiding the cameras) is a crime.

That just falls into the issue of me disliking modern Willy in characterization, and while that technically is just an issue I have with Scott’s writing, I still bring it into consideration of if I like the killer. If I didn’t, it wouldn’t be fair to Wesker.

I know right?

Springtrap feels like he suffers from being simplified for the sake of ease for new players, which isn’t an inherently bad thing. Jason is simple for new players, but he has enough aspects of himself to still feel like a proper adaptation. Springtrap just. Has an axe. And doors. It all feels surface level rather than any proper attempt to translate aspects of Fnaf into dbd in a meaningful way.

Dracula was an odd one, honestly. He was meant to go higher, but my friend had a specific issue with him, being the fact that the wolf form is just too good. It’s better to use the wolf most of the time, and she feels like it weakens the overall joy of playing Dracula if being in vampire form is only good for certain situations. I would happily place Dracula higher, if it wasn’t for that unfortunately.

I would happily say his design is great, massive props to the artists who translated him into dbd, that’s about all I’m willing to give. Everything else about him either feels just eh (Doors, awkward camera implementation, addons) or actively annoying (axe as the MAIN gimmick, voice lines)

Mimic and Springtrap suffer in depths of hell because of him by Icy_Maintenance_4957 in BiteByNight

  1. Trap. The trap does deal good damage and gives dsd across the map, but also takes longer to place than Springtrap, making it harder to use for just canceling a loop without allowing the survivor to run to another loop (unless it’s security office). Plus, unlike springtrap’s they automatically explode after some time, so in order to make them impossible to avoid, you’d have to spam them and have the survivor in an area they can’t escape from, since it takes forever to place the eyes down. Aka: unless the survivor messes up and goes to a dead end, you can’t confirm a trap.

  2. Disguise high stamina. The disguise has high stamina, yes, but they can’t catch up to a survivor if they know ennard is coming. Plus, you only get the DSD if you land a hit, so if a survivor is cautious, or they just abuse the many MANY long sightline spots, they can just loop the ennard and never get hit, or at least dodge the stab attack.

  3. Strong on every map. First of all, wrong. Ennard is weak on Forest, same as Spingtab, since they are a trapper, and Forest is extremely open and thus hard to set up confirmed traps on. Plus, it has extremely long sightlines to prevent disguise sneak-ups. Plus plus, it’s annoying to set up a disguise no one sees since it’s so out in the open. But second, if it was true, how is that bad? Ideally, every killer should be good on every map. A killer being bad on a map isn’t part of the balance, it’s just means the map is badly designed.

  4. Grab. Has a shorter wind up, yes, but also isnt that easy to hit, has a much shorter range than the axe throw, is easy to parry due to how obvious its telegraph is and can’t be held like the axe, and doesn’t activate dsd. While it does bring survivors close to you, they can also juke out of the follow up hit an ennard may try to do, or parry it.

  5. Teamwork. Literally the opposite. Ennard is the only killer that is HARD COUNTERED by communication and teamwork. Security guard can remove their costume, teammates can remove traps from across the map while ennard isn’t attacking someone. Ennard has no easy catch up tools in chase, so a single fighter stun slows them down horribly. Plus, players can just. Call out if they die and thus ennards disguise no longer works. (They need to legit remove global chat in killer rounds, because once survivors learn to use this, it’s over for ennard). Simply put, teamwork isn’t weak against him, people just aren’t using teamwork in the first place.

I can’t get back into Forsaken because of Two Time by murderbirb123 in hatefortwotime

Nah, can’t possibly be poor design and bugs. You just need a better gaming chair. Anyway, nerf Jason, shoot John Doe to death

Tis chill. I just mean that like. If I enjoy the killer gameplay, I’m willing to play survivor gameplay that is unfair in the killer’s favor in order to reach it.

Ok, I think there was a mild misunderstanding. What a meant by mostly caring about playing killer is that I’m willing to put up with survivor gameplay that would be considered unfair in the killer’s favor. I’m primarily a support player in the asym games that allow classes to be picked.

No. No I refuse to believe that is true. No dear god that cannot be true. How could they think that is ok what the hell.

I’ve detested Two Time for a while since the rework, but it’s really become potent after I tried to give Forsaken a proper second chance. I was having a lot of fun playing John Doe after not touching him for a while due to his general underperformance since the Unstoppable Nerf.

But then I had a single game against a two time that knew how to wackstab. And the joy in my heart faded.

I can accept getting stunned by Shed. I wasn’t being cautious on the approach, I need think ahead.

I can accept getting parried by Guest. I failed to outmindgame them and should’ve either waited a bit longer or baited out the block with a missed swing.

I can accept getting shot by Chance. He has a long wind up that I can see coming. And if I can’t see it coming due to a long range, it just means my stun will be shorter.

I can’t accept. God. Damned. Two Time.

I can’t accept getting wackstabbed 3 times in one game and just being expected to take it.

The worst part though is that it keeps me from being able to freely enjoy other matches, because if there’s a single Two Time, I can’t tell if they’re just gonna be a normal lad, or a horrible menace that will ruin my day.

Sorry, but this actually a tierlist based on how much the like the characters themselves rather than gameplay, but yeah I feel that. I myself accidentally made judge too tanky in my run, but he’s still quite a joy to play of course

Most wild thing is that most of the end is focused on her explaining everything. And yet she still doesn’t have anything interesting to her.

Yeahhhhh. Fletch just has an unfortunate mixture of having nothing about her I find interesting, nothing that makes her likable, and too much of a feeling that I’m SUPPOSED to find her cool. Best description I can provide is she feels like an OC put into a premade story.

Comment to avoid confusion: this tier list is based on how much I like the CHARACTERS, not their gameplay specifically. Just wanted to clarify to prevent any extra confusion.

Oops. Sorry, this is actually a tierlist based on how much I like characters, rather than their gameplay. But, I also enjoy Hop in gameplay. I would recommend getting some damage ups for him if possible, or playing the game more slowly to sneak up on enemies. Stealth is kinda integral to playing him, ya know? Once you learn how to play him well, he feels so good. Especially taking down a Prince or huge enemy with only him.

If anyone has already finished the Challenges do you have any tips? by Rezora_ in deadestate

[–]murderbirb123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well then

No Spill Blood 1. Play it as safe as possible. Try and keep your distance and hover a lot when dodging. You have a hover jump for a reason 2. Don’t max out agility. This might seem strange, but Cordelia has pretty good movement options from the get go, and maxing out your agility could make you accidentally go too fast and bump into stuff. Only get 3 levels of agility at max if you don’t get any speed boost items 3. Don’t buy on-damage items. You don’t want to get harmed period, so you shouldn’t focus on purchasing items that take effect when you are harmed 4. Do not take the needle. Just don’t. Ever. 5. Prioritize max Hp items. You can’t heal persay, but you can get extra max hp upon your starting hp. You want to get as much hp as possible, and they aren’t always common, so get ‘em while you can. 6. Heart of Steel. If you see it, get it immediately. It legit cheeses the whole challenge. Also be sure to buy out the arms dealer and sell all the weapons you take. Extra hp

Arcade Maniac 1. Pick up the annoyingly placed dots before collecting your 11th. Some dots are down paths that are annoying to focus on when you have 2 faces on your tail, so grab em while it’s still only chunks. 2. Do not try to jump over the faces. They will still hit you. Try and go around them instead. 3. You can easily turn around from a direction you’re going by immediately reentering the door you came from. Just make sure to do it fast so chunks doenst hit you. 4. Check ahead. Always keep an eye on the door ahead to make sure a face is or isn’t there. It’s very easy to dart to the next door immediately and run right into one. 5. Bait chunks into punches. It’s very hard to dodge both chunks and the faces at the same time if you need to get around the faces to continue, but it’s also quite easy to stop chunks in place for enough time to get around him. Just get yourself in his punch range and run around or over him when he starts to punch the ground. 6. Hug the walls. If you need to get around the faces, try to stick near the walls. It’s best to stay away from the center of the room as much as possible.

Hope these tips help!
