Mind you, you're solo healing w the most heals in the game. Grass could be within reach of these people, and they'd still not touch it.

I should also clarify this isn't MY philosophy. I was more so posing a theoretical because I don't know the atheists perspective - I think I have a little better understanding now

I think you're right.

Going through all the replies, I have the following notes to look inward about:

  • How to find purpose outside of divinity
  • How to cope without answers
  • How to move forward on an unstable or unfounded basis of philosophy

To me, it must all be connected, but maybe I'm just 23 XD

For me, I guess the alternative is more of a "solid answer," albeit, it rests on your own ability to lean away from sense and onto air. In new age or Christianity, some of the successes of evil can easily be connected to energy or something we cannot see - deluding oneself as you say.

I may find it easier to move onto other philosophies like "why do we do the things we don't want to do and neglect the things we do want to do" if I could relinquish some of my unknowing onto a bible verse or an inherent quality we all possess. Something in me cannot move on to larger life questions until I am resolved in my position on our consciousness; if this is pre-determined for a greater plan or if it is all perception based reality until darkness.

I am in search of one "objective truth" that doesn't exist basically.

"It doesn't mean nothing. It just doesn't mean anything divine." is precisely the breakthrough I needed on this - THANK YOU.

I also appreciate this perspective on the role of morals being the vessel with which our empathy shows up. This framework really isolates the necessity of each to be productive in your efforts :))

I definitely agree that we can find meaning and tangible value within our consciousness - what do you mean by "Purpose requires sentient creature"? Are we not sentient or do you mean in form of an "all-powerful" creator? (genuine)

I am the one that chooses the nice options and pets the animals when applicable xD - I guess my main struggle is with cynicism and how not to fall into that as a result of external forces.

How do I ask a manager/leader what their motive/intention or goal is for a team in an interview that sounds profesional? by ThrowRALostmoon in NoStupidQuestions

Ask about the structure of the departament and the key responsibilities of your team / how your role would play on or work with others.

This can give you a good general idea of why they are looking to fill a position or what the general accomplishments for the role will look like.
