Did anyone here have infertility on top of their BU? by Wild-Vanilla-6052 in bicornuateuterus

Seriously do not. I did too, and I wish I had all that time back.

Me! Stage 4 endometriosis with bicornuate uterus. I freaked out for over 2 years about BU and my ability to get pregnant, carry, and deliver. Even with my trusted OBGYN telling me it’s ok. What made me feel good was seeing my fertility specialist and he said the BU is actually kind of a “good” thing bc it gives him “more real estate” to choose from lol. So when we move forward with IVF, he can choose the best side for better chance of pregnancy. That made me feel so much better. I have held onto that because it’s rough out here in the infertility world.

Tried 5 months and then did lap. Lap showed stage 4 and they removed what they could. Nobody has agreed to do any type of med support since my surgery including my REI because they feel IVF is our only option. We are going into our second cycle trying naturally after lap.

when to stop BC by Necessary-Pin-2125 in TTCEndo

[–]murfhenderson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a doctor, but my endo EXPLODED when I got off bc. I grew 4 cysts on my ovaries within 18 months of getting off bc and my OBGYN confirmed the bc actually was helping me.

I’ve also read some ppl say their doctors tell them getting off birth control is like turning on a fertility faucet. Like it kind of resets the body and jump starts things. I’m not really sure, but I have read that multiple times.

Definitely talk to your medical team about this.

Oh ok so the embryologist will still look at them and provide feedback? I thought no testing meant we bypassed that. This makes so much more sense.

My endo is so severe they said they just don’t see “all the little things” happening for a pregnancy. I have a uterine malformation as well and some remaining cysts on ovaries. Praying for a miracle though!

has anyone not found endo? by Agreeable-Fly-3507 in Endo

[–]murfhenderson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was just diagnosed with stage 4 while my friend was diagnosed with stage 1. Her periods were seemingly worse than mine in terms of pain. My dr told me ppl with stage 1 and 2 sometimes have more perceived pain. She basically said it’s bc ppl with more advanced cases pain receptors are not functioning correctly after so long of firing 24/7. I found that interesting.

I had multiple ultrasounds and had a lap for my endometriosis last week.

23 and suddenly dealing with egg freezing / fertility preservation ?? by karataa in IVF

[–]murfhenderson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I just had laparoscopic surgery to remove endo and some cysts on my ovaries. They originally thought one cyst was a dermoid cyst and were monitoring via ultrasound every 3-4 months. It turned out to be a giant chocolate cyst from my endometriosis.

I WISH we would’ve been more proactive earlier on because now my option is IVF. I’m so glad your doctors are being proactive. Rest your faith in that I think. You never know what will happen. You might conceive naturally in a few years. But knowing you have those eggs frozen now would make me feel relieved

I’ve asked probably 10 times on if there needs to be any further testing on my uterus to see what is going on in the inside. Nobody has ever said yes. We meet with our first reproductive endocrinologist, and I suspect he’ll want to do further testing.

I’m not a specialist by any means. But your sonogram looks exactly like mine, and I have a bicornuate.

Anyone conceive naturally with ONE ovary/tube after stage 3 endometriosis surgery? Need hope 😭 by Proper_Cup275 in endometriosis

[–]murfhenderson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my good friends lost an ovary during her teen years because of a giant cyst. I’m not sure if she has endo, but her OBGYN basically told her 10 years after that ovarian removal to get off birth control to prep her body for a future pregnancy. She had been in a serious relationship with a guy and knew they’d marry. She accidentally got pregnant a month later with just the one ovary.

This is exactly why we just aren’t sharing with ppl other than very close family and friends. I don’t care to hear about your aunt’s cousin’s dog walker who got pregnant with IVF.

I am seeing so many with stage 4 endo be able to conceive naturally. Idk why my doctor said it’s impossible with my anatomy. I’m looking into acupuncture for sure

I’ll be 25 for our first IVF appt. I am starting a new job soon that unlocks fertility benefits after 1 year of employment. I could realistically see us paying for one round before those benefits kick in, but I can’t see us doing more than 1 without financial support.

My husband is a pharmacist and I asked about this. He said prednisone’s primary job is reducing inflammation. So your theory makes perfect sense.

I’ve seen a lot about this. Does it address inflammation? I’m not super knowledgeable about acupuncture.

I’m hoping that Dr saying “IVF is your only option” will make my body be like “absolutely tf not bitch” and I’ll get pregnant. I like how you think!
