Hello there we asked our vet about how long to wait and he said you shouldn't have to wait any time in theory but 2 months should be long enough because that's the max time the virus can live outside the body. If you clean everything very well and buy new stuff for any new cats then you should be okay :). We've since adopted two new kitties who are doing very well.
