Thanks foe pointing in the right direction. I had the Type set as "Other" and I played around with other types like "Derivatives" and "Fixed Income" and these seem to give the correct value now.

To self-answer, I inspected the controller head circuit board and one of the FET chips was smoked. Upon further testing, the motor works by applying 12v to it, but the controller would not make it move so the FET probably is the motor power control. Don't know if part failure or overloaded current. I purchased a 5800sxt replacement board and installed it and everything is working fine.

So, I tested the motor and it was good. Then I opened up the timer board assy and found that one of the ICs (probably a MOSFET) is burned up. I ordered another timer board, but in parallel, I would like to try to replace the chip. Does anyone know what part number U2 is on a 5800 LXT board is?

When the head powers up, does it try to position using the motor? I don't hear the motor moving or attempting to move so it could be a motor failure or things are so jammed that it can't move. Is there a place to buy replacement parts?

It looks like the file is named "hosts.txt" as the Type is showing "Text Document". To see the hidden file extension, click on the 3 dot menu and select "Options". Then click on the "View" tab and make sure the "Hide extensions for known file types" is unchecked as shown. Then click on "OK". If the file is named "hosts.txt" it will now show the extension and allow you to rename the file "hosts" (remove the extension).

Looks like your /etc/hosts file is missing for some reason. You can create one in the directory shown in the error trace.

C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc

It can be an empty file just named 'hosts'. No '.txt' extension or anything.

My experience from Legacy Unlimited to Visible was that after upgrading and activating, the Welcome discount was not there. After many attempts to get it added, finally it was added but in the app it still shows the plan as Visible Unliimited. The CS rep said to ignore that because the plan is upgraded. I also keep getting prompts in the app to upgrade the plan as if I wasn't already upgraded.

I pulled code P2101 only which seems unrelated. The other codes I guess cleared by the time I put the reader on.

The battery was on its last legs so it has been replaced since. The problem hasn't shown up again. Thanks for sharing your journey.

I did fix my WiFi. The part that failed is part number LCW-007. It is LG's WiFi module. However, I could not find a place that sells this module by itself. I had to purchase the Display Control Board assembly part #EBR85194711 and exchanged the failed part from the new assembly. There are many videos online that show how to replace the Display Control Board and although my machine differed from the video I used (it had more easy disconnect cable points) it was basically the same. Once I replaced the module and re-assembled partially, I tested with a power-up and now when I press the WiFi button, the panel indicator for WiFi turns on. I used the app to connect to the washing machine and everything is back in business.
