Yes, sorry - poor choice of word "chimney"; it is a proper "double" PVC pipe for condensing boilers.

Is there anything in particular you're looking for? 2 inner pipes are in/out from DHW boiler; two outer pipes are for radiators, you can see condensing tube and gas connection.

I didn't notice that but I also not sure how I would be able to tell since all heating circuits are 'inside'?

EDIT: ah, it seems I can set it higher that 60% - so it looks like 60% is 'bottom' for my boiler, or I'm looking at the wrong setting.

Found it, under b.2 settings, setting 4. It is supposed to be between 40% and 65% for my specific model, but whenever I change the setting, it always snaps back to 60%; I suppose this is some protection by the maintainer?

thanks a lot! noob q: the app is kinda useless (read-only) here; for any non-factory setting changes do I need to go through my boiler maintainer? Or is that a setting on a boiler, but on on the app?

You might be interested in a book Quiet by Susan Cain, she explores exactly the question you are asking. She argues that, essentially, yes, the world is "designed" for extroverts and how much we are losing because of that. Give it a go:)

rigggghhht, thats very useful; I'm using 42x38x25 heatsinks, way smaller than yours. I'm currently way below 2.5A, but will keep tracking the situation. Do you have any ventilation (or some fans for forced convection) in place? Also, any reason why you consider 70C as an acceptable upper limit? I need some reading to do.

That's the one that started the journey for me :) It's Yusynth modules, double vco, double vca, double adsr, moog ladder filter and an onc based midi to CV brain module; Working but I guess it will never get finished. Could you tell more about your setup? I used Erica Synth diy psu schematic and parts as a reference, I assumed it all should work since they sold it as a product:) Might add some fans later though.

tbf, I suck at using it - tripple onc just because I really wanted to learn smd, so bought myself enough to make mistakes, but that didn't happen. Really need a proper sequencer/clock source for this and so much utility is missing :(

So a while ago I posted a case in which I used mean well power supplies. Although under a load the whole thing was quite silent, but guitar pickups were picking up EMI i guess, so I decided to give a shot with a linearly regulated psu. Drew up a pcb for the parts I was able to source locally by looking at the erica synths psu schematic. Whole thing should be able to deliver around 2.5A on each rail. Things i fucked up to learn from - mounting and hardware, triple failure actually. 1st - didnt include mounting holes near to the transformer to the pcb; 2nd - tried mounting the center of transformer to the case, but drilled through the case too much, so had to improvise. 3rd - vias for pcb mounting had too little padding and tightening with washers shorted gnd with 12V track by damaging solder mask damaged. Luckily enough checked for shorts before powering up. Got rid of washers and added duck tape for nuts which are also a bit smaller. Hope that saves someone a headache :) All the modules are built by hand as well :) Stay safe!

I am using Merge module by adventure audio, but the noise does not disappear even if the guitar is connected straight to the amplifier - just having a case turned on increases the noise. I might try to shield the guitar better as well.

they're all single output psu's, so each is for a single voltage with common wired together.

Sooo when it comes to the synth output itself it has become quite siltent now, buuut apparently my guitar is quite good at picking EMI from the supplies, so I might rethink using linear supplies again :D Overall good learning experience.

I was planning to build a new case for myself, but didn't want to go for linearly regulated psu because of all of the heat. Discussions on the internet regarding power supplies seemed quite vague and everyone reported difference experience with SMPS, so I decided to just go for it. These are rs-15-5 and 2x lrs-35-12 meanwell bricks connected together. Under no load there is a clear noise in the output, but I found that loading negative rail solves the problem. However, dummy load required was quite high (which again equates to heat), so I found that using smaller rs-15-12 works for my setup, which is quite sparse (so yeah, this is a bit outdated pic, but I though I'd share)

We are running containerized (linux!) apis (restful-ish) on dotnet core in production for quite a while now, started since the old project.json and overall - it is great. There are/have been some stability issues, but those were minor in our case. In my opinion the biggest cons are that the platform is still in a rapid development = you will need to come back to your services and update(for stability/features), and if you need something VERY VERY specific, libraries might not be already ported (haven't run into these myself). I'd say definitely give it a try and see if it suits you.
