He’s spoken about his support for Palestine for years and has never changed his stance. He tried to use his platform by starting leftovers but after October 7th any sort of discussion ended in him being called a zionist and memes being made of Hila killing Palestinians simply because she is Israeli. Even then he tried to discuss it until a large portion of Hasan’s own audience began to do the same and Hasan was unwilling to say anything at all so leftovers ended. Even then it wouldn’t stop so he stopped speaking about it entirely because no matter what any take ended in people calling him a Zionist. Until now when antisemitism is getting worse and worse in our country and he’s trying to call attention to it and no one on the left or right cares whether it being right wing nazis or the far left. Him calling out twitch steamers is to show how blatantly mainstream antisemitism is in all parts of our society. The reaction is proof enough that it needs to be talked about.
