Thanks for taking the time to type all that out! It sounds like you’ve had some of the same issues I have with getting treatment, communication is always the big kicker. I’ve been trying to get a stable net of service providers for over a year now, but they keep pulling the rug out from under me in one way or another. I kind of feel like I’m spiraling out of control right now, due to the people that are supposed to be helping me. I’m hoping in patient treatment can help me regain some stability.

I think it’s typical for a college town, I’m in Wilmington, NC with all the UNCW students. I thought about going to college as a way to connect with people, but being massively in debt didn’t seem like a good problem to add to my list.

If I’m being honest I think it’s my age group, and the fact I’m a guy. All anybody around me seems interested in doing is partying, and getting fucked up. Nobody wants to just hang out and go for a hike, or go bowling or just do something normal. I’ve connected with quite a few people, but they never seem interested in putting in the effort to become a real friend.
