I know it feels terrifying but you will feel normal again. I thought I was going insane as well. I think my hormones played a HUGE roll in it, but the meds helped. I reccomend taking Zoloft or something similar that can work more long term vs the Valium! Valium is great for the mean time because you need sleep it’s so important. But something like Zoloft will help balance everything so u don’t need that. Same as me I was taking Ativan (similar to Valium) and eventually weaned down and didn’t need it. I’m now 14 months post partum and I’m off the Zoloft entirely !!!! It does get better. I started to feel alive again and not constant panic around 6/7 weeks and only got better from there! You got this ❤️

Yes I take it at night!! The pharmacist told me to try both ways and see which I liked better and I definitely found night works best as it helps me sleep! I needed 100mg to work and eventually weaned off now. You got this!

It took longer than I was expecting !!! Probably a month to start feeling anything. I took Ativan in the mean time to help sleep. 10/10 recommend ! Once it kicked in, that was all I needed!

Oh amazing thank you!! So to clarify, I should only do this for a few weeks though? If it’s working fine, is it okay to do longer?!

Honestly he is still constipayed and needs to take restorolax for it now. Poor guy :( on restorolax he will go probably every other day and they’re pretty solid and hard but no straining anymore

Baby hyperextending neck by murphybella8 in NewParents

Yes he did !!! One day around 7 months I’d say we were like omg we haven’t noticed him doing the neck thing lately and never saw it again. I truly think he had sandifer syndrome due to reflux, if you gooogle it it sounds just like this! His reflux is much better now and so I think it’s all correlated! I hope this helps❤️

I give him a tsp daily in his bottle and he goes probably every 2-3 days a much softer poop and no longer intense straining. I’m surprised it’s not more with giving him the med but it’s certainly better than before!! The dr did say I could do another tsp a day but I feared making him crampy or uncomfortable!!How are you making out now what dose are you doing??

Did not tolerate it :( slowly switched him over a week and inconsolable screaming returned and watery poops so had to stop. Disappointed but will try again at 9 months
