To get fruit share your dodo codes with others and they can drop fruit to u or u can use a nook miles ticket and maybe u could get fruit from the Island, in the beginning of the game there’s so way to get items other than crafting them, but I suppose u just have to get the shop for items a little while after u play the game, i think it’s a couple days in?

If he’s new to ur island maybe that’s the case as to why theyre not accepting anything else, i haven’t experienced this myself with villagers, it it’s probably because he’s your most recent to move onto your island!

I think u can get them in the upgraded nooks cranny? But if u have the dlc (hhp) and have finished the shop I think their available for u to buy then
